Hello ello - now I am very much aware of the many MWS threads so I'll keep it to the point so I don't sound like a broken radio. I've read up on the MWS platform across a range of sources and I can't get anyone to quite answer my curiosity.

For UK players, what has your overall experience been like using a TM MWS gbbr throughout autumn and winter?

Have internals upgrades help mitigate some of the cold weather related issues / is the MWS platform pretty solid throughout with the help of red gas and the usual tricks to keep mags warm etc?

Does there come a point where you have just gone the HPA tapped route?

Cheers in advance!

Otherwise, red/black gas, light lubed bolt, perfectly clean everything and perfecting the magazine gas fill technique stood me in the best chance of winning with it.

I use lighter weight bolts for the winter and I use handwarmers with my mags. I use red gas below 12°C and black below 8°C. I've run a TM MK18 and a DE Noveske N4 down to -2°C.

I've never had issues and I just scale up gas in colder weather. I don't like lightweight bolts myself, as MWS recoil is already anaemic enough, and I've never really had issues just swapping to red gas when temperatures get a bit lower. This year I'll be using mapp gas (as I've moved to propane and mapp gas over the commercially sold airsoft gases), so we'll see how well that does as I literally only own GBBRs and gas bolt actions now after selling most of my collection, so there's no alternatives to fall back on this year.
