THE TM MWS thread

How is JKArmy? I've heard mix reviews about their customer service.
I've ordered a few times from them and been completely fine. Bear in mind the current political climate over in HK..

Okay awesome! Yeah I normally order parts from rainbow 8 with no problem, but a friend ordered some bits and they took well over the predicted time, not sure if this is due to the problems in HK or just a one off from rainbow8.

Mine took longer than AngryGun predicted, but as i said thats completely understandable considering the current political climate.

Well as long as you got it, what was your delivery time on the MPA? I'm thinking of ordering one with a lightweight BCG.

Btw for some weird reason my tank should be able to take 4500psi in total but my local paintball place can only fill it up to 3000 psi is it normal?

If your tank is rated for 4500PSI (around 300bar) then its rated for that pressure.

Your local paintball place probably only has a compressor rated for 3000PSI (232Bar) so will only fill it to that much.

Your best best bet is to go and buy a scuba tank rated at 300Bar, then take it to your nearest dive store that has a 300Bar compressor and make them fill it. Once they fill it you need a "Fill Station" mostly likely with a DIN Fitting which you attach to the scuba tank and basically you fill up from the scuba tank using it as a massive reservoir.

I have a 12litre 300Bar tank t hat costs me less than £10 to fill and it has lasted around a year.

Very nice! All works really well together, visually and ergonomically by the looks of it!

The FSP suits it.

What tape is that on the grip etc?

Gorgeous looking rifle. Purposeful.

Also, just to say thanks making my MWS wonderfully skirmishable with the brass nub. My spacer should arrive this week, can't wait to see how snappy it cycles!

After Skirmish report of the MPA Nozzle.

Bearing in mind I was running propane in the low 10s. The MPA performed admirably, however there were a few problems.

My hop up kept resetting itself, this may be due to the MPA nozzle pushing the nub back up? It's a weird problem that I never experienced before.

Sometimes the nozzle would get stuck mid cycle and cause the whole BCG to be stuck about 50% of the way back, had to remove mag and run the action again to solve this issue.

The MPA nozzle needed lube for it to return smoothly into the BCG, with the stock TM nozzle I ran the system without any lube without any issues (I did so to avoid my barrel getting dirty so quickly).

I need to test the nozzle more to see if I can alleviate any of the above problems. Might remove the High Speed buffer from Dave as that causes the nozzle to sit further into the hop chamber.

Update: The AG Nozzle has eaten up my Modify Tan, as I feared the larger OD of the nozzle face that goes inside the hop chamber was too big for the Modify Tan which has a smaller ID than the stock TM rubber. I'm gonna switch out the Modify Tan for the stock TM when I have the time and see what happens.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to hearing how it works out for you.

You guys always seem to know more than most retailers on this situation, anyone heard when the next batch of mags is due? I hope I get my 3 before the 26th but it’s not seeming likely.

Have you lost the hop wheel detent spring? Or has it failed / got silly weak?

Due to the design of the MWS hop system the only way it should be able to reset the hop setting would be if something were rubbing the hop adjust wheel, is the nozzle / BCG clearing it ok?

Fitment is the plague of aftermarket parts, its worth spending time with wet&dry paper making the nozzle move freely without lube, any kind of binding affects BB loading/nozzle seating/nozzle retraction/gas efficiency.

Thanks @Sawyer always happy to hear players are enjoying the products ?

What would people recommend for a rear sling point? Quite like the look of the swivels, but just want a good point for a single point sling for transitioning.

Is a £30-40 price point really justifiable?

Single point slings are awful, it's worth spending the time to train with a two point and learning how to transition between left and right.  Actual operators don't use single points.

Also single point slings whack you in the nuts when you're using your sidearm.

I used to use single point, then started using two point slings, with the sling attached to the stock, rather than the back of the receiver and the other end attached at the back of the rail system as close to the receiver as possible.

Removed any ASAP plates where possible too. I'd say they really aren't worth it.

As above, let go of your rifle with a single point sling and you'll smash your sausage. Two point slings not so much.
