The recent heat wave and Marui plastic pistol slides

TM pistols are designed to work with 144a in temperatures that we've been having, so I imagine they'll be fine. Though if you're using green gas in TM pistols when it's over 30c, well... then it's your own fault.

Average summer temperatures in Japan are the low thirties with highs sometimes as much as 40° so they'll be fine with 144a

I learnt that the hard way although it was with a KSC glock. I fired and when returning to battery the whole slide kept going forwards and landed on the floor a couple of feet infront of me

Ouch

Vaguely relevant: Mistakenly left my game day gun bag (containing TM G17 Gen4) in my dark grey car from Wednesday to Friday afternoon, not parked in any shade at all. Everything inside was very thoroughly warmed through, to say the least. Even the oil inside the Glock hadn't moved though, no issues at all from a brief field-strip inspection.

What brands are considered high end in Japan

Western Arms, they have very nice faux finishes and materials. Maruzen and Marushin are also much loved for incredibly detailed builds.

They aren't as gameable though, in fact Maruzen and Marushin are quite awful in gameplay terms. However, they're very good reproductions and that's often the draw at the higher end.

It's difficult to show in a photo but the finish on the Western Arms M92FS Perfect Version Premium Edition really is insanely good for a plastic airsoft gun. It's definitely up there with Tanaka's Midnight Blue finish.

I had a marushin revolver years ago and I agree the finish was definitely better than TM, but was still obviously plastic and not as good as WA guns I've seen.

It was certainly more of a wall hanger than a skirmishable gun
