Patrol Base

I know there's a few mixed reviews about Patrol Base, and the fact anything you want seems to be out of stock!

I've made two seperate orders, one back in the summer which was faultless. Another on Christmas day. With an expected delivery date for the 7th of January. It ended up being delivered on the Friday. That's with a Ukara check as well. Can't fault the service!

Yes, patrolbase are definitely one of the best websites for airsoft needs. Very quick service whether it be questions or orders. And customer service is always second to none, I have made a few mistakes on orders and they always seem to go out of their way to help me out

Just to keep this current - put order in at 9am Monday, delivered 1300h Tuesday. Smooth process and will definitely use again.

It was delivered using DHL and their tracking isn't great. From 10am the tracking page said "You're next!" So either that's off or they have the most ridiculous routes you could ever imagine! ?

Placed an order for 6kg of bb's on the 22nd still sitting as "received" will update if I have any issues... I think two days to pack and ship some bb's is a bit much but ill give them some time as its not mega urgent.... YET!

Had a rifle cone last year with a shorn screw, they sent someone to pick it up and replace it. no issues with it since.

Asked then to restock a pistol in black, they said they would, restocked it in OD Green....

Seems a decent enough place with plenty of gear in, and not yet had an issue with an order, but my one (and only) real question mark is the amount of "out of stock" items on the online shop. No idea if this is exclusively a Patrol Base issue or if there is just a rush on at the moment. As a fairly green airsofter I'm also not too sure how prices stack up against other places, yet.

How's everyone else's experience been with PB? Are there any other sites out there I should be considering as an alternative / parallel?

Really digging patrolbase recently. Things are decently priced, has what I need, and next day delivery is just a pound more from the standard £5 - £1 extra for on avg 2-3 days earlier.

Seriously Amazing service to be honest.

-Ordered 2 SMGS and bunch of other attachments and it arrived faster than expected.

-Their website isn't too confusing for other people and its easy to guide yourself around it

-I wish they could have the Rate Of Fire specification but overall, their specification pages are always highly detailed and helpful.

Counterpoint: put in an order Monday afternoon for 4 items all listed as in stock, still not dispatched by Wednesday COB.

[UPDATE]

OK, fair enough, dispatched late Thursday, delivered on Friday.

I suspect all orders are sent next-day, they just sit on the £4.95 ones for a couple of days.

To be honest they deliver faster than they predicted which is quite nice. I have ordered with them about 8 times (4 of these orders with two toned AEGs) and they came faster than expected. Great customer service as well if you call em up!

Ordered a gun and a couple of mags yesterday, paid for next day delivery (it was only £1 more), arrived this afternoon, everything well packed, complete with test sheet, everything spot on.

Strangely their website is still showing my order as "Received" and not "Completed" but I'm sat here with the gun so no complaints.

Not a clue ,squeezed four rounds off on the range on the way out for a game ,the fifth round didn't happen ?

trigger solid ,spring tension release switch solid ,and that was the end of my day.

The front end of the rifle from the receiver forward seems loose and rocks around a bit .

Not too impressed at the moment

Did you try full auto? (Sometimes gears lock up in semi)

Different battery? (Always worth asking someone to try their battery if you only have one)

Some guns do have some play even on the real steel versions.  Can be possible to tighten up with some wadding.

Good luck with the replacement anyway...

Cheers Ed,

Tried everything I could think of mate, selector, mag, visual inspection , battery change, begged it ,pleaded with it , then swore at it lots and gave up.

The front end wobble is probably pissing me off the most if I'm honest ,if it was a second hand Rif I would expect a few flaws but not on a brand new gun.

My oppo bought the same rifle from them the week before and his is rock solid.

Don't get me wrong I don't dislike the gun ,if it worked and the front end didn't flex about I'd be as happy as a pig in shit with it.

I'll keep updating this ,they took receipt of the Arcturus on Wednesday according to rm tracking ,yet to hear a thing but I am optimistic they will sort this looking at the amount of positive reviews they have ?

Update 1

PB customer service just rang (polite lad) asking what exactly was wrong with the gun. Gave them an account of what's what, and explained that everything is in writing with the paperwork in the box ,he hasn't been given that ?....the gun will be looked at in the next few days  in the workshop and I should know by Wednesday what's gonna happen next.

That's great to hear.

For what it's worth, whenever I leave anything with any sort of techie, I tie or tape a note of the issue and my contact details onto the actual thing to be teched.

Sort of did that too ,tied a luggage tag to the trigger guard with the return number on it so hopefully that will help?
