All being well, the link/address to the current site (here !), will then take you to the new set up
The old site will then be read only & have a link to it for reference etc.
Everything EXCEPT existing classifieds should be carried over, bear this in mind if anyone is planning to put extensive ads up this week.

Maybe I need to clarify, my understanding anyway, is that the current forum address, name, everything, will remain the same apparently, so the new site is currently dormant while the set up is configured & relevant data is transferred across, once that is completed & proffrink is happy with the configuration (he's doing his best to ensure the look & ease of use is very close to the existing setup), then literally a "switch" will be thrown & all access will be to the new software/site, via the existing links.
If that all sounds like i know what im talking about.........suckers
All o know is "sometime this week", obviously with something this big, there are always teething issues, bearing in mind that proffrink has done this off his own back, & incurred costs in doing so, in the hope that the new setup is good for years to come

I was wondering if there was a mild link change that meant my bookmark would just be taking me to the archived site, glad for the clarification.

It was, proffrink has unlocked everything until after the move, with the exception of the classifieds ads themselves, everything should be transferred across
