I recently buggered my MP5 by tearing the battery cables out of the stock by accident, so I'm thinking of rewiring it to the front so I can have a super cool A3 style, sliding, collapsible stock.

My question is, does anyone know if I can get a regular hand guard for the front end, that will accomodate a battery of some description and that will be compatible with my MP5, bearing in mind it's a G&G version.

And since we're on the topic, does anyone know of a sliding stock that will fit the as well? I want one like this: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=MP5+A3&am...ved=0CEUQrQMwAA

There's no space at all in the hand guard that it comes with, since the battery's meant to go in the stock they seem to have kept the hand guard quite tight fitting to the gun for greater realism. The battery hand guards are always quite a bit bigger than the real ones, obviously so they can fit a battery in.

That stock is a rip off as well, plus it's not what I want, that one will still stick out a bit when it's fully collapsed.

Does anyone have a flash light hand guard? I'm thinking there might be enough space for a battery in one of those?

Feel the need to revive this thread.

Does anyone know which flash light hand guards will fit the G&G? Is there enough room behind the light to fit a battery inside it as well?

Also, with regard to sliding stocks if I get the back end of the gun sorted out, will ANY stock just slide in and out of the back piece of the gun?

Ew, can't have RIS on an MP5, that's like willingly being anally raped by Satan lol.

I guess I'll just have to take the plunge and buy a generic handguard and stock and just hope for the best. I guess I can always return it if it doesn't fit.

Go to about 2:10 and do that backwards, its easy, i have done it on my MP5A5 before.
