Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

My paint job as you call it only adds £15 using your figures

So you agree that you're overpricing what you're selling? £235 new and you have it for £250. Generally, you'd sell at 70% of market price for used stuff (£165) but given the fact it's been painted, IMO, it reduces resale price even further.

The fact this thread exists is concerning

Only concerning for people who are trying to pull other peoples eyes out.

Total new price = £130 + £45 + £60 = £235.

However, it is second hand and has been badly painted, but let’s be generous and only reduce the value by 35%. That takes it down to £152.75.

You are asking £250, so it looks like Austeyr’s £100 figure was about right.

Honestly I scrolled right past that initially, I scroll past most posts in here unless there's a funny twist to them.

All the fuss around it made me look again, and man, yeah that paint job certainly isn't adding value to the RIF let's just say that.

That Dremel stippling job especially, woof! It's not even grippy!

The application of the weathering is also slapdash. There's heavy weathering on edges that have no moving parts or interaction, but the mag release and trigger are brand new. Y'know, the parts that hands are constantly using.

Finally, the comp looks like it lost a fight with a belt sander, but weirdly the most exposed edges at the front are barely touched. Do you use a sandpaper holster or something?

So yet again the keyboard warrior of this forum doesn’t fail to disappoint

Got get a life or a job
“waaa waaa mum they’re making fun of my sales post again” mate, you’ve scratched up your gun and you’re asking retail for it. Get a grip. If you can’t handle a bit of ribbing in the ONLY place for ribbing in this forum I suggest you simply don’t come to this thread.

Awesome that I am THE keyboard warrior though.

The fact this thread exists is concerning

While nobody will deny there is an entertainment factor, this thread also does have a benefit for less experienced people as a warning for them not to be hoodwinked by items of questionable value.

There have been several people who rattle canned their two-tone guns without disclosing it and they became defensive or deleted the listing when their deception was called out.

If exposing delusional or dishonest practices is "concerning", that says a lot about what you list.

@Shep120181 , you've been a member here for 19 months, & only now you realise what the "Macks" thread is all about ?,are you one of the members that only uses the forum for its extensive & busy classifieds ?
If that's the case, you should know that threads like "Macks" are the price of entry, you get to buy & sell for free, but in doing so you deal with the very community minded core that do their best to look out for their fellow players, something you don't find on the likes of Usedairsoft & all the other similar sites, scammers & dodgy sellers run rampant with no moderation, or even the ability for other users to call them out.
Consider the comments you've received not as a personal attack, just constructive criticism from experienced players & traders.

I guess Shep didn't learn his lesson...
£315 for a damaged MP7 when they retail at just £30 more (UK side)

If it's a cracked receiver then that's likely a KWA rather than VFC MP7 as well.

Which is a hard Avoid.

Oh there's like three people who would want it, but tbh, they will really want it. It's his shtick, he makes bougie Sig builds for people who want that.

The price of e mental because it includes a bunch of out of production, high end parts. So it's a pretty unique piece, the BPW parts are usually single batch releases and I know a bunch of people who would kill to get the receiver parts, for example.

Right guys, just a quick reminder that negative comments may not be posted directly on any sales threads, the comments section on ads is purely to ask legitimate questions regarding the items being sold, in the event your'e considering purchasing, or can offer a positive insight regarding the item being sold.
Comments criticising prices, condition etc, can only be posted politely here on macks.
