I've ordered 2 R.I.F's from Hong Kong and I noticed on the tracking website that as of 6:10pm today, the item was in customs here in the U.K awaiting custom's charging. UKARA number was printed on the box.

My question isn't how much will the customs duty/tax be; my question is what is the process of paying said charge?

I was hoping to have the weapon by tomorrow or Saturday but I was wondering would the process of paying the charge require me to go to a post office and pay before I am allowed the parcel and how long it might take?

Thanks in advance,

FNG

PS. apologies if this isn't in the right section

Will have to wait for it to be paid before it will be shipped to you.

Usually the delivery company will pay for it, then deliver you a note saying that you need to pay them the charges, plus a handling fee.

They will then deliver it the next day after you have paid them back.

Very much doubt you will get it ready for saturday.

Yup. With Royal mail, they sting you for the cost, plus a huge handling fee. I bought something from the states, and the import duty was 10p or something ridiculous, but RM lumped an £8 handling fee on top!

Thieving b######s!

I had to go to the post office to pay the fee and collect, though I think they would take payment at the door if you're in when they come to deliver.
