Made a video of my Cyma SVD.

All the gears and piston in full working order, I've adjusted the motor height. With the gearbox out of the gun it worked fine but once I put the gun together it starts to sound like it is striping the gears.

Bought a cyma replacement.

Compared the old to the new and the old had no wear on it.

Is the gear box the type which uses a motor cage to hold the motor?

If the motor is caged and everything runs fine outside of the receiver then I'd be looking for something in the receiver or grip that could be pushing on or twisting the motor inside the cage. Or pushing on the gearbox casing in the areas of the gear axles.

If its possible, fit the the gearbox into the receiver and run it withot the pistol grip on. If it runs fine and then fails when the grip is fitted you know where to start looking.

Cheers for that, somehow a small piece of plastic had got caught under the motor stopping it from dropping down further.
