I'm looking to re-stock on disposables and there are a few options around now that I've not seen in person, just seeing if anyone has experience using these specifically.

From their product pages, the Enola Gaye newer Flash 1.0s are their quietest grenade, with the 3.0s the same volume Mk5s but supposedly the 3.0 is a 'lower pitched' sound that's not as bad on people's ears (sounds a tad debateable) . There's not much difference between them but the 1s are cheaper than the 3s and still more than powerful enough to do the job based on the info available, so the 1s would probably be my choice. Don't cost much more online than Mk5s having looked at a few retailers (JustAirsoft aka JustPaintball seems to be the main place with any stock in).

Then there's Pyrosoft, apparently a Ukranian company originally, which I'll take over TAG since they started in Russia (not that there's much TAG stock around to be had anyway). Anyone tried their chalk or pea M67s? They look cool externally for sure and have the proper pin+spoon function. Reportedly the volume is the same as a Mk5. EG67s are wire pull and obviously less HARDCORE MILSIM but probably do about the same thing and are a bit cheaper. Swings and roundabouts.

FBS Mk5's are good at 3 quid a pop. They are loud at 120dB but not excessive. If you are not looking for realism then these are fine. The Pyrosoft stuff is really good and a bit louder than the Mk5's and throw bb's or chalk all over the place. Downside it not all sites allow them. for non disposables I like the Frag, Quake and Novritsch sound grenades with the sound grenade being my favorite currently as all they take is a squirt of gas and a little cardboard circle to reload.

I don't think there's much of a sound difference between the Flash 1.0 and 3.0. From what I remember the Flash 3.0 had a brighter 'flash' when it went off but produced a similar noise level.

Since BulkPyroSupplies went under a year or two ago, FBS stuff has been pretty thin on the ground. FBS have their own online store that was "coming soon" to the public but still isn't active which is annoying as I like the multibangs that FBS made and their 'bauble' style grenades were good too and slightly cheaper than the EG67s. The Mk5s that FBS produced were shorter and took up less space than the EG equivalent too and produced (more or less) the same amount of noise.

I've used a combination of EG Flash 1.0s and 3.0s along with FBS Mk4 and Mk5s in the last year and a bit. The EG Flash 1.0 and FBS Mk4s were in my loadout mainly because they were the limit at a couple of sites I played at with indoor engagements.

The loudness of Flash 1.0 and 3.0 has to be taken within the context in which it's measured. They're both recorded at 120dB but Flash 1.0 is that loud within a 5m radius whereas 3.0 is that loud within a 10m radius.

DK Armaments usually stocks EG and FBS but it's worth calling them first to confirm they have the stock before ordering.
