Beretta M9 Hand Grips

Might be a daft one but does anyone know if the KWA Beretta M9 would accept the hand grips from a real steel M9?

Is it the WE version thats a different size ?

It's mostly the 'voids' in the frame that aren't compatible. Not sure if that's the case on the WE, but if you remove the OEM grips and there's a big gap underneath then you're good. Without the gaps there the grips need sanding down. I know the KWA and TM frames have these voids but yeh, not sure about WE.
