My trigger finger is very itchy. I'm seriously having airsoft withdrawals. I only got to play 1 game this year, back in January. I specifically arranged my annual leave this year to maximize my chances of playing, but those dates have all gone to waste.
Really sorry to hear that, I know you have a tough time getting leave to sync up with game days at the best of times.
I see one Scottish site intends to re-open on Sunday, which seems... well, regardless of what measures they've put in place, I can't see how people can attend when the law is still 5
households maximum, not the "15 people" that has been bandied around. Good luck to them, and I hope there are no repercussions, but I won't be rolling the dice on that one just yet.
I've been watching a lot of airsoft gameplay on YouTube and researching new guns,
I hope you're following the advice to keep a PornHub tab open so that you can switch to that if the wife walks in unexpectedly.
but crucially have avoided spending any money on airsoft at all, other than stocking up on gas.
Mosfets, resistors, buck regulators and diodes in my case. Every mosfet package that I solder together gets just a little more compact, and I'm going to try active braking this weekend. Hop-up tracer units all round, chaps.
So far I've nearly bought an MWS and MP7 GBB. Got a real hankering for another GBBR for CQB.
Gas does make a good argument for itself in CQB, I'm still keeping an eye out for tri-shot breacher knock offs coming back in stock.
Also looking at an Evo BET for an outdoor setup for possibly returning to my old woodland site, where I've not been in 4 years. Only played woodland once in that time, about a year ago. I much prefer CQB, but getting back to woodland would give me a better chance of getting to play more often.
Mmm, I see Hammer II Operations is intending to restart at the end of August out somewhere near Kilmarnock. I do want to support the new site, but for the 2nd time running it's starting up on the cusp of Autumn on the West Coast. [Digs out waterproofs].
Sadly whilst looking through photos from my old site, to see who was still playing there these days, I discovered that an old airsoft friend had died last year. He was only a year or 2 older than me and I know nothing of the circumstances. I was really shocked and still saddened by that.
It does rock you back on the heels a bit. I like to take as as reminder that we're not on a rehearsal.
Oh and don't forget the shit trigger on your G17 too, lol.
Well, I
had forgotten it, and wouldn't even have
known about it if some elitist hadn't taken great delight in pointing it out.
Hope to see you in the Depot sometime this year, although it's going to be a mad every-banger-for-themselves scrabble when they re-open, and no mistake.
