  1. Right I think I've cracked it, there both exactly the same FPS wise as everywhere that sells it says between 360-380 FPS. But the difference I've noticed upon very close scrutiny is that the EU version says cal. 6mm BB on the right side above the pistol grip in medium sized white writing whereas the Asia edition doesn't have this instead its in very minute etching on the dust cover.
  2. It's licensed by Umarex so I'm pretty sure it will have the correct trademarks on it, so I can't imagine it's that.
  3. From what I've read the vfc 416 isn't that great but the 417 is a big improvement. Plus WE don't make a 417. Thanks jcheeseright, if I get an Asia edition are the internals the same as an EU spec but tinkered with to get the higher fps and therefore under more strain? I'm new to the GGBR world so what would I need to do to get the fps up on a EU edition? Thanks in advance Steve
  4. Hi, I'm looking at buying the VFC HK417 GBBR for my next rifle but it's available in an Asia edition version and just wondering what the difference is? I know this rifle is available in a German edition as that's locked to semi auto only. Any help would be appreciated before I go sinking some big bucks into it. Thanks, Steve
  5. Has anyone had any experience of ordering a RIF from these guys? Everyone seems to be ordering mags from there without any troubles. It seems to be the only place that has stock of the VFC HK417 GBBR I'm wanting. Thanks guys.
  6. The sandpit is in bradford and is a working quarry so is different ever time I've been. It's run by cerberus as is the works (halifax) which, when I went last month for the first time I found very good.
  7. Thanks, all the info gathered here has helped massively.
  8. So it's the general concensous that the site will put you on the database rather than a retailer? It's quite confusing as all the info online to do with UKARA states that the form is sent to a retailer with first order. Another question is would I have to be a paid up member of the site? In my case £40 for the year at Cerberus
  9. Thanks for the reply, sorry if I'm being unclear. As I understand it I go to my site 3 times ect which is Cerberus then your supposed to send your completed form off to whomever I wanted to order my RIF from. But as I'm wanting to order from a non UKARA registered retailer (defined by the list of retailers on the UKARA website) where do send my form to be placed on the database? Or can my game site (Cerberus) register me onto the database?
  10. when it comes to UKARA when you have your completed form can I send it and be registered onto the UKARA database without buying a RIF from them? I ask because I want to order a hk417 from gunfire.pl as it's the cheapest I've found by far, but They can't put new players onto the database Cheers, Steve
  11. As mack says definitely Hong kong based, I've ordered from them and had problems, paid for my order then got harassed for more postage as their website under quoted me, then part of the order wasn't even in stock even though was showing as being in stock. When I finally got my order it was incomplete so I'd be very wary
  12. Hi, so I bought a new element G27 grip for my VFC M4es recon, the grip fits onto the gun fine but I'm having trouble with the motor as instead of the motor base plate sitting flush with the bottom of the grip it sits right up inside it thus pushing the motor right in so no adjustment and no workies. Upon searching I've found that VFC used a thinner standard grip to replicate real steel but surely this shouldn't have any bearing as the motor would be still the same? Has anyone had previous experience with this? Any advice would be appreciated Steve
  13. That's pretty awesome! Are they going to start production any time soon?
  14. I'm going to be installing an R hop and M nub with a guarder clear bucking next week when it all arrives so hopefully should see an improvement in how it shoots. I wanted to know about springs as I was considering an upgraded spring but don't want to go buying the same or lower graded spring by mistake.
  15. Thanks guys, so only way to know for sure is chronoing. If I buy a upgraded spring how will I know I've not been ripped off until I can get to a chrono? Out of interest NH Shooter what was your stock spring as you have the same gun as me, and have you upgraded it at all?
  16. As in the title really, I'm fairly new to airsoft so would just like to know how to distinguish what size a spring is by looking at it? Also if anyone knows what spring my VFC M4 ES Recon has stock that would be sweet. Cheers me dears! Steve
  17. Cheers, I'm still new to airsoft but I'm learning something new all the time. I'll be tackling an R hop install soon so that'll be fun lol
  18. Hi everyone, I'm new here and so thought I'd make a thread to.. Err.. well... Say hi. I'm Steve and relatively new to air soft I went once then ended up spun king a fortune on gear.. As you do. This is my rifle, it's a VFC M4 ES Recon and Ive put on a ACOG (with real working fibre woop) QD suppressor and vertical foregrip. I live in Bradford so go to my local skirmishes at Cerberus Airsoft, mainly the sandpit. Here's a quick couple of pics of me last weekend so you can see my load out and best metal gear solid sneakiness! I look forward to hopefully getting to know you guys and contributing to site. Steve
