I sent an e-mail but got no reply, sent another a few days later and got a quick reply. By that time i'd made another order. True to their word the correct replacement was sent.

I'd agree with this. It's why i bought 3 new TM NGRSs, changed the barrels and hop rubbers and called it good. They have accessories on the outside, nothing else changed inside. The guns' performance far exceeds my shooting ability. I agree with this too. And if you're buying your first gun i'd say it's safe to assume you're not going to be well-versed in teching so really you want something pretty reliable. Yes, brand new guns can fail too, but that's probably less likely than one that's been messed with.

Mine are all either 20/30-round GBB mags or 70/80-round Marui AEG mid-caps. Not run out of ammo yet.

What are you looking for specifically? Range? Accuracy? AR platform?

Acetone is likely to damage/melt the plastic. It'll definitely remove paint, but quite possibly more too.

Considering you've got a good budget for a gun, why not just buy a new one that hasn't been messed with?

When i worked in art shipping we went through pallets of that stuff, 25 and 50mm in 8x4 sheets, every week. Can't remember the supplier offhand, but it wasn't particularly expensive.
