So, this is the last version of my Akx. I didn't want to do the same as my m4 Mws so I only changed internally/externally what seemed really useful and relevant to me. I bought it with M.L rubber and crazy jet inner barrel so I installed the Jaeger précision hop up arm. I have the angry gun heavy piston and 130% recoil spring but i didn’t installed yet. Maybe at next summer. Externally i replaced the uh-1 by a copy of Vzor-1 by Novus, customised the switch for the perst4 to create an mlok version, replaced the front grip by the wiitech rk-6l and put grip tape at the bottom of my mags. It’s so heavy in comparison with my m4 Mws but god, this is my favorite GBBR, really love it.

Don’t buy the mk18 if you plan to change the handguard. Buy the 14,5" or cqbr version. There are lot of threads on internet about the removal of the mk18 barrel nut and it’s very, very hard to remove it.

OPS store in France have few mk18 barrel nut tools.

For the 45° selector, Revanchist have one, semi only.

So I bought my second GBBR…

I fight with myself to not buy this gun but for sure I will loose so, did you recommand the ibex NPAS? I also have a problem to find upgrade/replacement parts. For my TM M4 MWS it’s easy, I only need to search using the letters "mws" but for the Akx…?! If I put the 130% recoil spring AND the hard kick gas piston, I need to change something? Is the hard kick Gas piston necessary to get a nice kick or only the recoil spring is good enough? Thanks

Sweet GothicGhost. Some internal/external modifications since my last game with the previous version. Internal: I put a thicknes of resin on the aluminum nub of the hop up chamber PH+ because at the begining, to get an hop up effect you need to put the setting at the middle of the range. So with one millimeter thickness more i have full range of hop up setting. I replaced the TM bolt carrier + NPAS Angry gun by a G&P gold bolt carrier + guns modify nozzle + NPAS Feda. I also replaced the TM trigger box by a G&P steel trigger box by EMG. External: Removed parts: silencer warden by Angry gun, sight set magpul mbus 3, outer barrel extension dytac 10,5inch and the copy of leap01 1,57" rise. New parts: silencer no name 38mm x 185mm with balystik silencer spacers, outer barrel extension dytac 6inch, scalarworks leap01 mount 1,93" rise and a copy of Griffin sight set by PTS that is the only option I have to put the flash light at 45° and in front of the handguard.

Using the good tools and with patience you can open the window of the crazy jet inner barrel.

Did you try to turn lightly the inner barrel clockwise? There is a little play wich can create this trouble.

I finally solved my problem yesterday night. There are some play on the G&p trigger parts, in lateral way. These play generates problem/interference with the fire selector selector. So I reworked the fire selector to allow the parts to move all it’s way in lateral mouvement and now, no more problem.

So, revanchist trigger in G&p trigger box, same problem. Full in semi position. So for me two options, the problem is somewhere else in the trigger box, or, the 60° fire selector generate this problem with the G&p trigger box. I need to wait the classic fire selector i ordered to eliminate this last option. If the problem continue even with the 90° fire selector I will check and compare one by one all the G&p part with the TM trigger box parts. Maybe I will find something.

So I start a test. The G&p trigger in the TM trigger box = no problem. Now I need to test the revanchist trigger in the G&p box. Maybe later. I need to do my first job, be a father.

Hi guys, i received and installed my G&p steel trigger box (the gold one) with my 60° fire selector revanchist. With Tm trigger box and this fire selector no problem. But since I installed the G&p trigger box I have the same problem. Full in semi or full position. I tried lot of adjustement without success. I have to try two more solutions. Clean the trigger box entirely to remove all the ptfe grease and use 90° fire selector (but I need to buy one). Do you have an idea where I should look? I don’t think it comes from the selector but I’m lost and I don’t know where to start to fix this problem. I didn’t find anything about the adjustement of this trigger so I used the same procedure as for the GM trigger box…

Yeap. You need to put in around the metallic part at the end of the spring nozzle.

You can buy a longer one and cut it. I do it with 370mm prometheus barrel cut to 300mm.

During my research I found this in french thread: Petit retour après avoir testé des chargeurs type 89 dans ma MWS: parfaitement compatibles. Ils sont quasi identiques en dehors des marquages de munitions et d’une couleur plus sombre que le gris d’origine. Le poids et les performances sont les mêmes également. Et ils ont l’avantage d’être en stock chez AE! In english and in short, TM mag type89 are compatible with our Mws.

Yeah yeah. You can have somes bad issues with this or this element from this brand or the other one due to bad conception but when you start mixing all the elements with different brands, in my opinion, you increase the possibilities to have bad issues.

For me, it's always better if you use same brand so in my opinion the first one. But maybe the second option works better, i never tried the two solutions.

Hi, on my PTW i'm totally in love about my Orga magnus flat hop up. Do you have recommendation for the same systeme for my MWS with Guns Modify Hop Up Tensioner? Is the SP8 flat hop up good?

Sorry but no. Most of the time you can install a milspec stock but the size of the buffer tube is specific. Not milspec/civilian size. It depend of the stock you want but an adjustement with tape could be necessary. Necessary in my case with TM buffer tube and the Magpul MOE carbine stock.

Yep but you have really good alternatives. Do you know a really good view, or better an 3d animation, to understand and see how the mws trigger box works? I need to know why 45° fire selectors are only available in semi only and not for 60° fire selectors and also if with little or maybe big modifications i can customize an 45° to get the 3 modes: safe semi auto.
