THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.
- For sale
- Used
Older ICS and Classic Army AEGs for sale. Rock solid older models with all metal construction. CA M15A4s have high torque motors and uprated gears etc, zero barrel wobble. These are all built like tanks. Detachable carry handles for rail mount scopes. Fibre reinforced stocks and foregrip. Ex loaners so the paint is a bit scuffed but no damage that I know of. These ones have had maybe half a dozen games at most. Will likely need new springs, hops, grease etc as they have been in storage for a while. Usual maintenance really, nothing is broken that I can tell. 1x ICS SD6 4x CA M15A4 (5 pictured but I'm keeping one back for myself to get skirmishing again). £75 Each. MP5 SD6 includes mag (not tested). I may have working hicaps for the CAs that I can throw in for free. May not. First come basis for these if you pick up one of the AEGs. Edit: I am getting bombarded with DM's about these so please be patient as there are many people in a queue. I will try to get back to everyone asap but if I do not then please assume it's either sold or I just haven't got to you yet. Doing my best to keep up with you all. Thanks.£75

That appears to be a newer design with radial adjustment and won't fit the older metal body. It did give me something to go on though and found them in the end here - https://www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk/classic-army-m4-and-m16-hop-up-chamber-p037p Naturally they are out of stock so I just need to trawl around for them now. Tbh the older style never really held their hop all too well so if I can jam a newer one in there it might be an improvement.

This is my new local shop. The owner is a nice guy and they have tons of stock. Prices seem to be rrp or thereabouts. Well worth a visit if you in the area.

Looks alright tbf. Thanks for the link. I'd happily slap a spring and a higher voltage battery in it and see how it fares in the field. Love the compact frame too. Very versatile.

So I have a holdall of some of my old AEGs here. 1xICS SD6, and 5 Classic Army M15s. These are og CA's from years ago. All metal and built like tanks without even a hint of barrel wobble etc. V3 mech boxes, hi torque motors, steel gears etc... I'm thinking of getting one of the CA's skirmish worthy as I love the rock solid build of these, and will need some bits. The springs will be dead by now and the hop units will want refreshing. Barrel and other internals should be good though I need to check properly. All those parts I am good to source except the hop units so far. Does anyone know if I can even still get complete hop assemblies for them? It seems CA have come out with all sorts of different ranges over the years I've had out. What are my options here?
-
I took a quick look at those specnas today in person and if I was starting out today I would buy one in a heartbeat. I can't speak for reliability and durability of the internals ofc, but an aeg like that at those prices was unheard of in my day. I'm going through a holdall of some of my old guns that will need some new springs etc and I'm thinking sod it and just getting one myself too. 😁 In fact I might even call them or take a drive up tomorrow and get a new loadout.

Ahh yes. The reason I ended up with bullet connectors on my custom fit batteries. 😄 Thanks for info. Will look into those. 👍

I knew the ffz guys from back in the day and the owner John was a diamond chap. I don't know who is still around as I've been out of the scene for many years, but they are legit.
-
I also have a stock TM VSR that I will be able to get back at some point in the new year. Would like to take that up to/near the limit to make it viable in woodland games. What are the options for internals for it? Is there a go-to kit for the internals these days?
-
Thanks for the input guys. I do remember that the Chinese and other cheaper Asian brands were starting to make headway into the market back then. Japanese brands such as my old Maruzen and WA gas guns seen to be relegated to collectors duty nowadays it seems. I remember Li and mosfet tech was brand new, good to see it is now adopted. I'm hoping my tech knowledge of internals isn't tooo outdated as I do enjoy the tinkering and modding aspect. Has anyone made a smoother hop up unit than my old TM G3 SAS yet? People used to vastly underestimate a good hop unit compared to shoving a 110 spring in blowgun and hoping for usable range. Loads more to ask but I'm off out so will pick up later. Thanks again 🙏

I'm pretty central, near Mildenhall and Thetford kinda area. Are you out here in Farmer country too? Any sites to recommend? I suppose I will have to get my UKARA again soon. 🙄 -
What did the farmer say when he couldn't find his tractor? "Wheres my tractor?!" 🚜

For those that saw my intro thread you will know that I'm returning after about 10 years out of the scene. So I'm thinking, what have I missed? 😅 What are the brands currently in play with AEGs and GBBs? What sort of prices are we looking at? How is the quality? I appreciate that this could be quite subjective but I assume there are pretty accepted brand tiers for reliable skirmishing still. Any help you guys can give would be great. 😃

Yeah. I even took a few of my faves with me and had to two-tone them as per the law there. 😭 -

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. 😀 Middle of nowhere in Portugal. Sadly there were no clubs/teams within a reasonable driving distance. Haha not sure I can help with much. I used to tune and mod guns I guess so maybe there's some old man wisdom floating around from that, but mostly I'll be complaining about codsofters and the price of green fees these days. 😁 -
Just stopping by to say hi after about 10 years out of the scene due to living abroad. I used to play back in the very early days and saw the hobby grow from just a handful of sites and clubs (I used to run one too), saw the introduction of the UKARA (hi John :D) and then had to hang up my boots after moving abroad. Looking forward to getting going again and finding some cool sites and people to play with. It seems the scene has grown massively since back then and shops and site have sprung up everywhere. Sad to see some old favourites gone now too though. I will probably be picking your brains on all the current brands and gear, and hopefully I'll see some of you around.
