  1. Firstly, I'm not the kind of person who doesn't do their research first! Please don't think I haven't been reading through the forum and on the Google because I have 😄 Initially I was going to ask about the 2 months rule (Because I read on a site that you need to cram 3 games into 2 months, now I see it's 3 games in over two months) What I wanted to ask though, is do all 3 games need to be at the same site? I'm going to Torrington this Sunday for my first game, but it's about 45 mins from me which is fine, there are sites that are mere minutes from me so I was hoping I could pick and choose? Just curious, genuinely sorry if this has been covered - I did look! 😎
  2. I think I'll be fine with a few fully-loaded mags 😉 thanks for all the advice though, everybody. I think I'll go for the midcap option for now!
  3. I will, at 600 chats per minute. chat chat chat "Get some!!!!" chat chat
  4. Eating beans out of a muddy hole.... Mmmm 🥲
  5. Okay so, so Survival in Torrington has a spot this Sunday, so I'ma probs gonna go along to that just to see what the crack is, and go from there. If I love it, which I'm sure I will, I'll go to the one on the 2nd May as well, which should give me time to heal a million BB exit wounds.
  6. Hang on... hang on I'm taking notes and you're talking really fast. "No ... kitchen sink... okay, got it"
  7. So.... with that logic, if Airsoft is history in Canada then... can they re-enact airsoft!?
  8. 😂😂😂 Okay so midcaps you don't need to wind them at all? So we're talking like 150rds and just change mag when empty? I like that idea a lot more
  9. The two main types I've seen are midcaps and hicaps, can somebody walk me through why you'd ever go for a midcap please? No preconception, purely curious. What's the benefits of each? Ta
  10. So what the law is basically saying, is; Airsoft = bad, Re-enactment = fine
  11. Okay, full day it is. So how many people typically turn up to this kind of thing? I appreciate it varies by site, but for the sake of argument let's say Survival near Torrington. And what, I just turn up and I get put into a team? Or is it like school football getting picked last!? 😂 Haha yeah I imagine Nerfs are a bit too advanced for beginners, have you seen the size of those darts compared to BBs!?
  12. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but at the end of the first paragraph in the bill it says something like "It does not include replicas intending to resemble antique firearms" So.... Does that mean they can Airsoft with RIF antiques? I'd love to wear a fast helmet, assault vest and webbing with multicam and armed with a flintlock/musket! 🤣
  13. You're actually not the first to recommend Survival, so I had a look on the website and they don't have any half-day slots available on weekends, is a full-day usually the done thing? I want to try asap so I may just take the plunge and do either Sunday 25th, or Sunday 2nd for a full day. What sort of guns are they going to loan me if I hire one? Two-tone nerf vortex? 😂
  14. They all look good! Thanks for all the advice and ideas, I'm not "On a budget" per sé, I just want to watch what I spend before committing to the hobby, you know? I can already see I'll like it though!
  15. Cheers Nick - I just might do that..! (I will!)
  16. Hi! I've done a bit of research and I like the idea of an AEG that has artificial recoil. I know that TM do these for around the £4-500 mark, but as I don't really know what terminology to search for, does anybody know if there is something like this but closer to £2-300? I was thinking C&G raider 2.0 initially but now the idea of recoil has piqued my interest..!
  17. Thank you! And thank you all, got a good feeling about this! 😎
  18. Cheers @EDcase that's good advice. Yeah I've heard wonderful things about stag-do Airsoft.... Not. I want to take it seriously enough to play by the rules and do it properly, but not so seriously that it isn't fun - a middle ground!
  19. Haha, brilliant! That's good to know! Good advice though, so you reckon it's better just to turn up? Do you guys on this forum organise games between members?
  20. Cheers EDcase I appreciate that, I came to that same conclusion by reading other posts so I'm glad to get a bit of confirmation on it. Hoping to join in on a game in Devon/South West, hopefully with you fine people (So I don't have to just turn up to a random stag-do..!)
  21. Hi! Keen to get started, when all this mess blows over. From the Exeter area, early thirties and always been interested but never had the balls to give it a go! I don't have guns yet but I have an idea of what I'd like, unsure if it's better to buy some two-tone ones or rent them onsite until I get registered (Done a little research) so curious for your opinions! Hope to meet you all soon!
