think this may have just won me over… tactical-haribo in the pistol grip is an 11/10 🤙 This is a nice streamlined set-up!!! liking that grip too… very L129/Sharpshooter-esque 🤙

Thanks to everyone so far… this is some good info for me to work with & greatly appreciated. The VFC & GHK seem pretty well regarded, along with the price being higher & their own supply/aftermarket options being a little more limited than the TM & MWS options. Seems that the consensus is MWS out of the box, due to efficiency & performance, quality, accuracy, cost - along with general availability of parts for aftermarket upgrades (by the sounds these may not even be needed). Just need to figure out which one now… and that debate continues, as to whether a TM, DE, or other base. There are so many options out there… Sounds like everyone (so far) has had good experiences with the MWS & WE options! With regards to aftermarket parts for MWS bases - any good recommendations for pistol grips? Considering looking into the standard PTS options…

So I’ve been airsofting for the better part of 20 years & worked my way through a whole load of AEGs in this time, including TM, VFC, KWA, G&P, G&G, ICS, a long with various Chineseium & CYMA Platforms… got a fair amount of experience in tech including rebuilding & scratch building various AEGs, so am familiar with a lot of the manufacturers available on the market… However, the time has come to branch out into GBBRs… Having dived into the various GBBR threads, there are clearly a lot of opinions about various brands (as well as debates on the levels of “realism” of some platforms), along with all the aftermarket upgrades etc to consider too… Having looked into availability of upgrades/aftermarket bits, it all depends where you go/look - and that’s cool. The question is, what would you (the people) recommend… Either a WE Open bolt AR-15, OR, an MWS (TM/Clone) based system? Be as honest/blunt as you want to be. Any experienced creatures, please tell me positives & negatives of either (or both). Thanks in advice 🤙

Rugged head protection for the slightly larger skulled individual. Bought 2nd hand for £30 when assembling a 2007 era SF load-out, but never completed the set-up. Tad too big for my head (57/58cm cap size) so likely to fit those 62cm and above. (Pretty sure Helmet pads can be found at P@trol b@se to improve the fit). Previous owner had drilled a guide hole for an NVG mount. One of the screws holing the Chinstrap (rear left as you wear it) had also been replaced by them too, but does not affect the function. This is minor cosmetic damage, but this won’t be noticeable with a helmet cover or with scrim net on top. *Edit: This is NOT a ballistic Helmet* *Fairly hefty & rugged, but not ballistic* Asking £15 (Or make me an offer) P&P included - 48hr Royal Mail Tracked£15

This was an impulse purchase from Patrol Base (in October last year) as a replacement for another Plate carrier set up, thinking I would switch out… Plate Carrier & Front Molle panel Ops Panel Charger Daysack Scrote-pouch SMG inserts 7.62 inserts 5.56 inserts Pistol mag inserts Perfect fit with plenty of adjustment space. All pouches, rigs and attachments that came with it are included. Some of the pouch inserts that came with it weren’t even taken out of the packets. This is an awesome and versatile set up for anyone. The day-sack attachment is perfect for HPA bottle set ups & can be attached directly to the micro chest rig set up. Totally scalable should you want to strip down to a lightweight load out, or keep the plate carrier for that sexy SF look. Vorsk VP-X with BDS Continuing to clear out the unused toys… Bought this sexy but of kit last spring, just over a year ago (I think it was from BZ Tactical), around the same time I got my current (and favourite) Glock. Virtually brand new, not even skirmished. There are couple of scuffs from storage on the slide release/body pin (pic included). Standard new-pew rush of excitement, box got thrown out. Spent ages hunting for a holster, but couldn’t find anything that either ticked my boxes or was in the affordable price bracket (way before I’d heard of Deadly-Customs too). So sadly there is no box. The extra springs & nozzles were also disposed of, as I was sure I would be able to find better ones in the future. So it’s just the pistol and 2x mags. No holster meant I didn’t want to take it out, so it just sat there in the cupboard. Bought a second mag for it in January, thinking I was going to switch out for another set up (toying with Hi-capa, Glock & 1911 platforms)… and stuck with the Glock. Tested the FPS about an hour ago (before this post)- kicking out at 308-312 on a 0.20g bb, at room temp (approx 20 Degrees C). Lovey kick & pretty damned snappy. RDS batteries still good too!!! So, here it is up for sale. Asking for £80 all in. postage will be Parcelforce 48 Express. PayPal is preferred, but will do £80 cash on collection if you live close. noted… I’m going to trawl through the internet and see what I can find. i know that the barrels are the VSR style barrels, not the standard AEG ones, so deffo going to have a look at Hops & rubbers 🤙 that’s a pretty good fighting scale of rounds ready to go!! deffo feeing that 6 may be the magic number here!!! if you want to keep me I. The loop with how those work out, that would be awesome!! 🤩

Seems like WE GBBRs are pretty solid all rounders there then… especially if parts are relatively well available!! Any advice ref the hop units for the SCAR-H at all?! I may have bought a couple of GBBR SCAR-H mags off here recently… 😉 will deffo keep an eye out for more!! now wondering how many Mags people use for GBBRs. based on previous experience, I recon 5 or 6 should be enough… any thoughts?

Bolt EBB AK74 SU Up for sale as I am currently down sizing my collection. This is virtually brand new, still has the stickers on it!!! There are a couple of marks from storage. Bought last October for £465 with the intent of doing a themed load-out, running with enemy weapon systems. Got a bit carried away, threw out the box thinking AKs would be the be my new thing… ended up spending the money & then kept in the cupboard. Have test fired this (put maybe 4x mags through it in the back garden) & the kick is outstanding!! Seriously made me want to buy more recoil guns… This does have the quick change spring system built in… & if you know what you are doing with an AK platform & v3 gearbox won’t take long to downgrade to sun 350fps on a 0.2g bb. Comes with 1x mag. FPS: 339.9 on 0.25g Asking for £200 (OVNO) Would prefer collection. but willing to post for £5… (just to cover materials). posrage will be by Parcelforce 48 express£200

Bought last year (November) for £130, and planned to use it as a side-arm for a the winter, as part of a load out that never got finished… and as a result continuing to downsize the collection. Brand new in the box (one I actually kept as I normally Chuck the boxes soon as I get a new toy)… Instruction manual, Spare nozzles & O-rings, recoil spring & the Vorsk Velcro Patch too!! I have put 1/2 a mag through it to check it was working & utterly amazed at how crisp and snappy the blow back is!! A totally amazing pistol, but not for me… (I’m a total Glock fiend). Pictures don’t do it justice & the room lighting isn’t great. Lovely grey colour and finish on this hi-capa, and can’t recommend it enough!! I haven’t chrono’d personally - but completely stock. All retailers quote 328fps (approx) on green gas on 0.20g BBs. **Edit** (again) ** Searched for similar this morning & seen current prices** £75 - Postage included - Parcel force 48 Express happy to answer questions - No trades or swaps thank-you!£75

Thanks for the advice ref: mag pouches on that one. Figured as it’s a 7.62 platform this would be the best option. Now to raid UK tactical for their mag pouch selection… 😉 sound advice ref the base plates too… will have a look at sniper taping them up, or getting some 7.62 magpuls for additional loss prevention. i’ll deffo have to pick up a few more mags & have a look at the screws etc 🤙

Hi all, I’m a relatively experienced airsofter & have been playing with AEGs for the past 18 years… Recently I’ve dipped my toe into the GBBR world & come into possession of a WE open bolt SCAR H. This thing is an absolute beast & the recoil is mega. Just wondering what the verdict is on these things? Like, what’s the life expectancy of the stock parts… is there anything I should consider upgrading before even playing with it? Any advice ref parts & reliable UK based retailers/stockists for said parts would be great. Thanks in advance!! Picture is just for attention…

Continuing to sort through the toys I don’t use… Brand new TM Hi-Capa 5.1 - bought this as a back-up for a Gold Match (which sold a few days ago). Took it out the box, test fired 1x mag through it in the garden, put it on the shelf in the gun-cupboard… and that’s exactly where it stayed ever since. Was aiming to use this as a replacement to my Umarex G19x, but never did (turns out I prefer Glocks to hi-capas). Completely stock, mag is gas-tight. Amazing bit of kit, but just not for me. Edit* Please no swaps. This is brand new, just with no box.
