If you actually know him then can you ask if he was hacked/scamming/or just very cheap and how long would it take him to get the goods ?

Thanks for the responses, it was my thinking as well. have to say yours is the only voice saying this which seems a bit odd (unless that was sarcasm, which unfortunately doesn’t transfer well into typing), for info the “civvie susats” are replicas/dedicated airsoft sights a genuine one would go for around £400 (here’s a site that sells them http://www.deactivated-military-weapons.co.uk/mdwsupplies-scopes.html for reference) then you have the cost of the RIF so yes a deal that seems to good to be true

I posted on Facebook that I’d like a L86 a little while ago (just missed out on one here) and the other day had Michael Joseph Thomas contacted me via messenger, saying he could get hold of one with a genuine susat for £300. I don’t know him, his Facebook page looks legit till you look at his friends then it starts to look dodgy, majority of friends are middle/Far Eastern there’s no military looking friends, although he claims to of served (think he was TA, he’s not contacted me since I told him that I had) the number he’s posting looks very high for the date he’s quoted (joining 94 with a number 301, I joined with a 246 number and when I left in 94I hadn’t met anyone with a 3 number). I could very well be wrong and he might be genuine but the deal seems too good to be true, a genuine susat normally goes for a few hundred and claiming he can get hold of and not having is a bit of a concern, he might of been hacked, I don’t know so thought I’d ask here if anyones had dealings with him.

It’s a real pity that no more news seems to be leaking out from vfc, it would be a good seller for them

Does anyone else wonder about the gun she’s carrying ? Can’t think of a reason that you’d have a sight protecter on a real gun (won’t stop bullets) and the clips to hold the rubber butt pad look flimsy, all the rest of Ukraine have AK’s and she’s got an M4 a very clean one there also piccies of her in the snow with it minus the sight. There was already someone saying she should get a real gun on her instagram. Late to the party here. Just seen that at last years expo VFC announced they were going to do a GBBR FN FAL, has anyone heard anything about this ? Like an expected due date, or an SLR conversion kit

I’d recommend Luke at negative airsoft, he talks to you about what you need doing and what you don’t, explains what he’s going to do and any options. You also get videos showing what he’s doing. Found him very informative and the work very good. Only down side is his waiting time as a lot of people try and get their guns into him so you could be waiting a little while (his list is closed atm while he whittles it down, I waited 3 months but look at it that if you want a good job then some times you have to wait, and the wait was well worth it).

Yep, Update i posted on his item that he was a scammer and contacted the site to let them know, he seemed to get a bit upset that I’d sussed him out and he couldn’t do his big “reveal” he obviously gets off on it. He said I wasn’t getting the RIF and I could cry to my mummy about the £35.. I have reported him on fraud website with his phone number and bank account details hopefully that will do some good but I won’t hold my breath. My takeaway from this is don’t do bank transfer, ask for a photo of the item with something as proof, and google a name before paying. Luckily it was only a small amount and I walk away slightly poorer but wiser (and hoping that some day I cross paths with the little toe rag)

He’s also operating on Used Airsoft, under the name of Hugo Perkins with a Santander bank acct atm, which I have the details of, and phone number 07767320406 Unfortunately I transferred some cash to him before googling him, he then came back saying he’s got 2 bank accounts and he thinks the money went in to that one, obviously trying to get me to pay again. I’ve told him that if the guns not sent I’ll be passing his details and the conversation (on WhatsApp which might encode end to end but there’s a copy I’ll happily show the police on my phone) to the police. Begadi in Germany won’t ship to the UK, they say it’s due to German law (unfortunately as I’d found an S&T Sterling on their site)

Thanks that’s what I thought, suddenly they’re not so cheap. Think I’ll stick with a UK store for the extra 30-40 at least I’ll get somewhere I can call if I get any problems

I’m just starting in airsoft and been looking around at prices and the Asian sites seem to be very cheap, but i am wondering if there’s duty to pay when it gets to the UK is this the case ?

Hi As the title says I’m new player down in sunny Sussex, am thinking of getting a G&G L85a1 (purely for sentimental reasons). I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on using sites such as Asian airsoft, as it’s in Hong Kong would I get stung with import duty ? And are they the same spec as UK guns ? thanks smee
