  1. I don’t know if you need one you might be strong enough to do it just with the wrench like a normal AR that hasn’t got lock tight in it. I don’t know if they all use the same amount of lock tight on each gun. but on mine I couldn’t do it without fixing the gun in position. But when you have done it once and broken the lock tight you don’t ever need the vice or blowtorch again. You can just use the wrench on its own after that.
  2. I used this as it’s really beefy https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gbase-nb-ar15m4-armorers-multi-function-wrench-black
  3. It’s a difficult job to remove as it is secured with lock-tight. I used a blowtorch and an armours wrench + a vice to remove it.
  4. A friend of mine who is more knowledgeable than me suggested the same thing. I took it apart and gave it a clean it was potentially over lubed as you say. Cheers for the advice and I will see how it runs next game. That’s very reassuring. Good to know and thanks for replying
  5. Now that I’ve found out the angry gun barrels are shit I have ordered one of the g&p mws barrels. What do you folks think of those or should I cancel the order and get a z parts one. also had a strange problem with a stock mk18 today. Put about 10 mags through it over a game day today. Used a maximum of 5 shots in one go and the temp was about 16 degrees so I don’t think I had cool down problems. Most mags were fine but on two occasions they behaved as if they were running out of gas halfway through the mag. Any idea what could cause this. Any ideas? And thanks for your input.
  6. Yeah that makes sense. I’ve got the buffer tube they make and it keeps unscrewing it’s own castle nut no matter how tight I put it on
  7. Do they cause problems with how the hop sits or something?
  8. There’s a lot of discussion about the angry gun barrels. Are they all bad? I got an L119A barrel from angry gun. I haven’t had chance to fit it yet. What’s the main problem with them?
  9. Yeah I currently run 4 normal and 1 short mags. Ammo usage isn’t really the concern just thought they looked a bit different. I like the pmag look so I got a couple of iron airsoft pmags but they were shit so I switched to standard tm. Used the iron airsoft ones one summer and they struggled to finish one mag even if it was 25+ degrees. The normal tm mags a great but airsoft is a fashion show so pmags it is. also full auto is banned on the site I go too so I’m not too fussed about it. However the extra gas capacity as has been pointed out by crazy crystal may be helpful preventing cool down in winter. Won’t know about that until I try it or someone reviews it.
  10. Anyone got any experience with the pro win mag or the g&p 45 round mag. Looking for something with a bit more capacity. how is the gas efficiency. How’s the sealing. Cheers
  11. Hey folks. I have the Guarder urx 3 rail for the mws. It seems to cause problems seating the hop unit. Does anyone have any experience with this rail. if I give up with it can I use milspec ghk style rails or do I need an adapter I’m thinking of just switching over.
  12. I could definitely be over filling it. and I will get a new bucking. thanks for the advice.
  13. What I’m meaning by jamming is that on auto a bb will get stuck between the nozzle and the hop unit causing the bolt/ nozzle to not go all the way forward. It goes 90% of the way and stops with a bb stuck somewhere in there but not going down the barrel. only happens on auto ( which I don’t actually use I’m just trying to get my rifle back to 100%) and yeah everything is stock apart from the nozzle. That would be stock too if I could get one. from what you guys have said it could be the hop. It looks fine but a new rubber doesn’t cost much so I may as well put a new one in. thanks for your help so far it’s been really useful in trying to diagnose the problem. Really appreciate it
  14. It was worse with the tm nozzle. And it’s the stock bolt.
  15. Yeah, I did that originally. That’s what is so confusing about it. it is all stock apart from the g&p nozzle. I only put that in because the stock one was damaged and is out of stock everywhere.
  16. Reporting back on the full auto jamming issue. (sorry I don’t know how to link back to past comments) installed the g&p nozzle. It’s really good but hasn’t solved the full auto jamming issue completely it just happens less often. mag feed lips are not damaged. I’m a bit stumped really. thanks for your help so far folks.
  17. That’s good news. 390 is pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. thanks for the info
  18. Glad to know the g&p works well. I play airsoft in the Channel Islands so it running hot is not an issue. We regulate full auto rather than power. I will try and get a stock one for in the Uk if it’s running hot because I occasionally play over there too and don’t want to break site rules. anyone know the rough FPS of the g&p? Anything below 450 is allowed here really.
  19. Reporting back on the jamming issue. The mtr jammed with my mtr bolt in it but didn’t jam with my mk18’s bolt in it. So have narrowed it down to the bolt. ordered some Geoff’s and a new g&p nozzle as mine has some damage. The stock one’s are impossible to find so I went with the g&p. Does anyone have any experience with that nozzle? checked the mags and the bucking feed lips. Both of those are good so haven’t ordered replacements. hopefully that works. thanks for your help so far folks
  20. Thanks for the info. I will have a look. If it looks a bit sus I will upload a picture.
  21. Thanks. I’m using the nurpol .30’s I will try a different brand. Any suggestions?
  22. Hi folks Unrelated to the stuff above but I have an mtr. It has started suffering from the occasional missfeed. The Bb gets jammed in between the nozzle and hop unit. everything is stock and I have tried to resolve the issue by following the cleaning guide at the start of the thread. I have also checked the spring inside the nozzle and it’s fine. any ideas? cheers
