It’s now been relisted with different photos but saying he’s after an appraisal etc. Still says it’s a TM metal body…. Anyone recognise the sticker on the bottom of the pistol grip? He also says it’s been to a shop for servicing at least once.

For sale, King Arms MDT LSS gas sniper rifle. I have too many projects/unused guns building up, so this needs to go. Was planing on keeping this as it’s lovely (and rare!) but also ended up with a AAC21 which is the same platform, so can’t justify them both. Really nice rifle, CNC chassis with perfect trades, it’s based on the Tanaka M700 gas rifle platform. The trigger box and components have been smoothed/polished, it has a new safety and action army trigger sear in. Action Army steel bolt fitted, which is FPS adjustable. Currently fitted with ML 60degree hop rubber. With a good suppressor, these can be made silent, as the only action is pulling the trigger. Comes with a brand new King Arms magazine, and a hard case £200 posted or collection from Swindon200.00 GBP

I filed down the 2nd notch on my hop unit in my WE Scar H to fit a crazy jet. Figured I’d rather (potentially) ruin a £10 hop unit rather than a £30 barrel. It is easier as you know exactly how much material to remove in the hop unit and can test fit as you go. 10mins dremeling and it was sorted, barrel is still securely held without the second notch

That’s a weird place for it to break…. I’d suggest that was badly cast at the factory if it’s broken there.

For sale, ASG/KJW CZ P-09 GBB pistol. Taken in P/X, I’ve given it a once over and tested, works perfectly with both mags. Only issue it has a hole drilled & tapped in top of slide for an RMR plate, no effect on function. Comes in a hard case with 2 mags, 1 green gas & 1 CO2, both leak free. CO2 mag is missing base plate. £70 posted70.00 GBP

For sale, Cyma M4A1 (CM007) metal bodied AEG. Taken in PX, it’s as new. Not a mark on the body. The stock and handguard were 2 tone green, which has now been 99.9% removed, but there are still very small remains in corners, certainly not noticeable unless close up. Comes in original box with hi cap mag, no battery (it’s rear wired with tamiya mini). £105 posted105.00 GBP

If you take the feed lip off the mag and just file down the bottom surfaces in the feed tube it should be good. If it’s still happening I’d guess it’s a nozzle or feed lip issue. If you are taking the feed lip off then gently file all the sharper edges of it, plus the feed ramp into the barrel. Everything around that area is very sharp and can chew BB’s. It won’t be a disconnector issue, the trigger will just go dead if that’s broken. Photos attached of where I gently file the top of my mags (also the inner parts of the lip) @EvilMonkeeSorry I’ve just re-read your original issue, didn’t realise you need to re-cock every few shots, thought it was just a feed issue. I’d check your hammer axles to make sure they aren’t broken. Unfortunately not easy to do without taking pretty much everything else out. Sometimes they crack but will still operate intermittently until it wears down the surfaces between. Here’s what they shouldn’t look like!
-
Have you got different mags to try? Just check BB’s aren’t getting stuck where the lip meets the mag base. If the mag is ok, I’d check the nozzle springs are good and still attached. Also check to see if it’s fully returning to battery when fired. Best way to check is cock it with no mag in, and see how far forward the bolt moves when the trigger is pulled. It should only move a tiny bit, less than a mm, anything more than that it may need a stronger recoil spring to push it all the way forward.

I’ve had through my hands (at last count) 10 MP9’s, most of which were broken, so can make decent list of stuff you will need at some point. I’ll go through your list first: Part 153 (disconnector) - yes, very much needed. The main MP9 point of failure! Part 151 (hammer release) - not seen a standard one break, but if you get a steel hammer, then get this too WiiTech piston head - yes, but double check this doesn’t need to be used on the WiiTech piston chassis. Part 25 - not seen a broken one, I wouldn’t bother Nozzle springs - yes, get 2 sets! My recommendations: TNT Barrel set - so much better than the KWA hop unit WiiTech Steel Hammer (part 26) - standard ones snap at the sides, sometimes will still function, but best to change to steel. Plus it’s a pain to change, so get this and only do it once! WiiTech Steel Action Bar (trigger bar) - I have one on mine and makes the trigger pull much better WiiTech 130% Recoil spring - MP9’s can have issues if they don’t fully go into battery, this will solve that A CowCow/LPE/WiiTech piston head. Anything over the standard KWA piston head. They dry out and crumble. Beware there are 2 different sizes of pistons and piston heads, 14mm (orange) & 15mm (green), so work out which you have. If you already have a WiiTech nozzle I’d get the WiiTech piston chassis. The WiiTech nozzle will destroy the back of the chassis eventually. Also the WiiTech nozzle is very difficult/almost impossible to change the valve on…. Hope this helps. Enjoy the MP9, it’s such a little beast ?

KWA’s hop up is somewhat finicky, can’t say I’ve had BB’s getting stuck in the hop though. If you are keeping it long term I’d recommend the TNT Hop & barrel kit, it’s a game changer for the MP9, will easily hop .4 and more, plus easier adjustment.

Hey! The nozzle “sticking” won’t be the feed issue, that is just showing it’s got a good seal with the hop rubber. The bolt movement will ensure the nozzle comes free so don’t worry about that. For only feeding every other shot I’d check the mag feed lips first. I’ve found with certain mags and certain BB brands the BB can get caught on the part where the mag lip meets the mag. Remove the mag lip (2 pins) and gently file down the around the yellow highlighted parts to make sure its not sharp & has no burrs. Also do any sharp parts around the top of the lip while you are there, MP9’s can chew BB’s a little when loading due to the metal lips. If it’s still misfeeding after that I’d try a different brand of BB’s just to make sure. I found Excels tended to be slightly too small for the mag tract and would jam themselves up….

I’ve put a standard 5.1 BBU in a 4.3, and a Guarder BBU in a 4.3 with no issues.

Oooo, at last with the modern fire selector on the MP9! Will have to be special for me to get rid of the KWA version though….

Hmmmm, ok, last things I can think of: Piston head, check its the correct size for the nozzle. MP9’s have 2 different size pistons/nozzles. If it’s been ever been replaced it could be the wrong one for the nozzle. More than likely it’s a green piston cup, with a thicker walled nozzle. But they also do an orange version with a thin walled nozzle. (you can slightly squish the thin one with your fingers, the thick one is much more difficult). It’s 1mm difference between the 2, so can lead to issues if it’s not correct. The only other thing I can think of for the issue of only firing 4-5 shots is the brand of BB’s you are using. I had an issue using Excel’s in my mags, they are ever so slightly smaller so were jamming after a few shots on the metal mag lip where it joins the base of the mag. Rectified by filing down the mag lip, or using different BB’s. I also just take any sharp edges off the rest of the mag lip to aid feeding, I have the WiiTech metal nozzle in mine and unless everything is smooth it can damage BB’s during the pick up.

Can’t say I’ve seen that on any of mine so far, but things to check: Piston head: make sure it’s not damaged/deteriorating. May be the issue with gas leaking behind it so it’s getting excessive cooldown and only doing a few “full power” shots. Make sure the pins on rear of bolt are not backing out and slowing the bolt travel. Had this on one of mine when full-autoing. Also chewed my trigger bar with this… Double check your hammer isn’t broken at the shaft. May look ok when in the gun, but you can only really tell when you take it out and it’s in 2 pieces instead of 1. As for the hop, it’s either been reassembled incorrectly, or is missing the tiny little bb that applies pressure to hop rubber. KWA hops are somewhat… fiddly. I’d recommend getting a TNT retrofit kit for the MP9, drop in and you can hop a .4 and more…

How about a AM/Guarder frame in another colour? They do specific Infinity ones so the markings will match the slide. Probably cheaper than a new pistol.

I’ve set up my DMR with a Modify tan hop and Bavtac nub, I haven’t tested it in the field yet but it’s easily hitting 60metres with a .40 in testing. Running at 290ish (1.56j). Still have adjustment in hop with the Bavtac nub so could use .43 easily I would think.
