  1. So I just noticed the burst figures on the batteries, so maybe that is the issue specifically with the LMG where as the predators are able to handle them: 11.1v - Nuprol 1450 mAh 3s 30c - 30c 43A Cont. 60C 87A burst 7.4v - Nuprol 1450 mAh 2s 30c - 30c 43.5A Cont . 60C 87A Burst
  2. Hi Folks My son just recently bought this lmg and it works fine, he loves it and the role, but he has tried both the 7.4v and 11.1v nuprol batteries in it (which work fine in our other G&G predators) and finds that the gun just stops. If he switches from one battery to the other it will work for a while and then just stop again. It's almost as if the mosfet is detecting that on full auto (not massively long bursts) it detects the draw dropping below a certain level and then just stops/cuts off. Testing both batteries on small plug in lipo checkers seems to imply there is still plenty of charge left and they charge fine as well and appear healthy. Could it be the batteries or the mosfet or a combination of both? Any suggestions welcomed as it is really taking the shine off his new toy.
  3. Can I suggest you have a think about what else you may want to run with the pistol, such as torches, holsters etc etc? I have the ASG CZ P-09 and whilst I love the pistol itself, finding other stuff is a nightmare and the base plates on the mags are like glass and almost impossible to find replacements unless you print them yourself. I run c02 mags and whilst there has been no issues skirmishing it for over a year, yesterday it ran hot yesterday and I couldn't use it all.
  4. My son had a similar problem with his G&G predator and turned out to be caused by him being to heavy handed when squeezing the trigger and basically forced the trigger sled, I think it's called a sled - the bit that the trigger pushes against to then make contact and fire the gun, to far back for it to work normally. I bought a new trigger unit and replaced it in the gearbox (scary as 😉 myself and all is good for now. Well until he does it again in all his excitement.
  5. A couple of nice shots of my son and I at DTW Airsoft yesterday, having a great day. This was the first time out for me with the AAC T10 and playing the sniper role and my son with his new LMG eating up bb's like there is no tomorrow 😉
  6. I am almost 100% sure it is just the trigger unit and the etu/mosfet is OK, maybe not the best and I have been looking at the perun. If it came with a trigger as well I wouldn't have hesitated in buying it. But for now I just want to replace just the trigger unit to get it up and running and then will look to upgrade to a perun later. I have messaged Fire Support - thanks for the heads-up
  7. @colinjallenthank you for the confirmation about the part and shop, much appreciated.
  8. Hi folks, My eldest sons G&G predator is miss firing and I have narrowed it down to the actual trigger unit inside the V2 gearbox (I have the same rif so have been swapping etu/mosfet etc etc) I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get just this unit as the everything else is OK or if there is a better direct replacement option without buying a new mosfet and wiring? I believe this is the correct one, but have no knowledge of the shop: http://www.gearofwar.co.uk/?product=gg-replacement-etu-trigger-unit
  9. I did, sort of. We Played at Gunman airsoft at Tuddenham on Sunday. Not the best sniper area to play in, in the overgrown section, but it was going OK. Unfortunately I had put the larger of the two adjuster dials/wheels that come with the TDC on but found that I was accidentally rotating the wheel whilst using the rifle. This culminated in it being screwed in further than it needed to be for 0.43 bb's and the added pressure showed up my poor job of using epoxy resin to attach it on to the barrel, and the unit popped off 😮 I then played the rest of that game aggressively using my pistol to which the marshal commented as I passed him "oh that's brave" 🤣 I have now re-attached it and put the small adjuster wheel on, hopefully that will hold better and my numpty hands won't accidentally adjust it. All good fun
  10. I have the same pistol (metal slide/co2 mags) and completely agree with everything Cr0-Magnon said!
  11. It's sounding really good. I haven't upgraded as much as you have done, but certainly more than I had originally planned to before actually firing a shot in anger at a skirmish, damn Covid Lockdown 😉 This is what I went with: I kept the original trigger set as the reviews I had watched and read said it should be good for FPS up to and around 500fps AAC aluminium piston - for strong spring longevity - ditto AAC stainless spring guide - for strong spring longevity - ditto with can mod to stop spring rattle AAC VSR 10 Hopup unit Kept the original cylinder guides, although I crafted a sleeve to go from the barrel end to the hop unit to stop any cylinder wiggle, seems to work OK. AAC m130 and m150 springs (m150 with a sorbo pad now sits at about 480fps with 0.2's) Maple Leaf 300mm 6.04 crazy jet barrel Maple Leaf Autobot 60 bucking Maple Leaf Omega nub AAC Hive supressor, this is a monster but looks awesome - birthday prezzie from the wife AAC Twisted outta barrel - birthday prezzie from the wife Snipetor Uni-TDC kit - I went with this one as it had the hole drilling jig/rings as I was worried about all the measuring and taping with others and didn't want to screw it up Both the barrel and suppressor are filled with the small DIY mini roller foams - credit to the guy on youtube who suggested this. I've had a pack of about 12 laying around for , no joking, about 20 years 😉 I went with the same scope as the Nov sniper one but from Amazon by another company I have a bipod which I have removed again just to keep the weight down for now. One of the very useful threads on here Other useful links:
  12. I will be following your journey with interest having come to many of the same conclusions you have. I got mine as an Xmas prezzie from the wife as I wanted to step in to tech'ing and have something to work on and upgrade during the lockdown. I followed most of the collective wisdom and experience from others on here with their own sniper journey and having now finished most of the affordable upgrades, I can't wait to try it out for the first time on the 25th. Taking it apart, maintaining and upgrading it has given me a lot of satisfaction, confidence and encouraged me to fiddle with my aeg now. Good luck and have fun, it's a great looking piece of kit.
  13. I just signed up with a free account to at least show my intent to UKAPU and I also have two sons (over 18) who both play and will recommend they do likewise. As someone relatively new to the sport and to UKAPU it would be nice if someone (apologies if they already have I missed it) said that in principle, that they (UKAPU) would be willing to represent the sport as a governing body. I would happily up my membership to paid to help facilitate that happening and them having a true voice to represent us all.
  14. Have you read this excellent thread which has lots of useful information and discussions in it? I have followed this and used a lot of the recommendations etc for upgrading my new T10. Definitely worth a read.
  15. Not sure i have the same ptt but I found you need to press the connector into the radio further than you first think it needs to go. Not with excessive force or anything. Hope that helps?
  16. My son placed an order online with then on the 26th Dec and it arrived this morning.
  17. I thought it was about time that I formally said hello to everyone after lurking on here for 5 or 6 months - Hi 👋 My two sons, 22 & 23, and I, 53, got in to this wonderful sport around the middle of last year and absolutely love it. It's one of the very few sports that my youngest has been really enthusiastic about getting in to and playing, so really great for all 3 of us to do this together. We have managed to get around several sites around Essex/Suffolk but looking forward to Covid being a thing of the past and getting out there, playing regularly and enjoying a few more sites and game types and hopefully bumping in to a few of you. This is a really great, friendly forum so congrats to you all for making it like that.
