  1. Hey guys! i have a Specna Arms H08 - which I believe has a RAHG hand guard. From what I’ve seen, M-LOK rail sections would fit as I believe they go in the long cut outs, but someone said i would need different sections (I believe SMR?) is anyone able to advise before I end up with tonnes of rail pieces that don’t fit thanks guys!
  2. It’s a midcap, but I’ll give it another go when I get chance - could just be the amount left in as you said! i followed what @L3wisD posted from Specna and ordered 5 of these - slightly lower in cap than I’d have hoped but will do the job for now! https://gunfire.com/en/products/100rd-mid-cap-magazine-for-m4-m16-type-replicas-black-1152208792.html
  3. For anyone interested - gunfire have various Specna mags for around £3! I’ve just ordered 5... then a new molle pouch for them.. and some new - let me stop there!
  4. @L3wisD my patience and wallet thank you kindly! just so I know I’m reading this correct - does this apply to Specna brand mags? Or for example, would most mid cap 120s not work in the EDGE guns? Next job is to find somewhere that actually had any left in stock..
  5. ive just got one of these to try in my specna and it doesn’t feed do you have any feeding issues with yours at all? Granted I only loaded a handful of BBs to see if it fed them, but no luck! Not sure if that just happens on the last few shots?
  6. it’s a weird one - had a look at that first and it all seems okay - the gun had barely been used before I got it (or so I’m told) I’ll wait until I have all the replacement parts in that I so carefully broke.. will assess after that! Thanks for all your help again!
  7. Oh sorry I see what you mean, yes that works ive just tested a little theory.. I think the switch itself is too loose.. if I hold the gun with the slide catch facing upwards, it catches every time. Any other way and it doesn’t catch which makes me think it’s slipping out and the mag is sliding past it
  8. With no mag, I can pull the slide back, and lock it in place with no issues. Also releases absolutely fine and resets with no snags or hiccups. With the mag in - it’s temperamental. If pulled back from the front, the slide lock seems to engage more frequently, but still not always. Pulled from the back of the slide does lock sometimes, but less frequently than from the front. Sometimes when I insert the mag, I can see it push on the slide release catch, and push it up ever so slightly, so that when the slide pulls back it should lock - but again only occurs sometimes pretty stumped - as far as I can see, nothing is preventing it from working as it should
  9. A few parts later and were almost back to working order! A few issues still: - The pistol only shoots on full auto (I imagine this is due to the metal plate being damaged behind the fire selector) - The slide doesn’t lock back when empty 90% of the time. I think this is due to the mag follower but I’m not too sure.. with the slide off, I can see the mag follower engages the slide release lever, but with the slide on it usually doesn’t.. mag problem or a weak spring inside the switch on the pistol do we think? Added a photo of the mag - from images I’ve seen online the gap shouldn’t be that big, but I’m not so sure, doesn’t look damaged or anything so my thought is a weak spring in the slide release lever?
  10. jeez this has turned into a disaster thread hasn’t it 😂 ah well, live and learn! Will try and get it up and running when I can!
  11. thats the one, but was just about to delete my post as the metal it screwed through has now snapped 😫😫😫. Is yours through that or was I wrong?
  12. I did it!! if anyone else has to strip one of these down or something similar: the screw I thought was meant to push the little metal safety plate.. was suppose to go THROUGH the little metal safety plate.. it felt a bit tight so I didn’t wanna force it but turns out that’s how it’s done! absolute rookie error but I can now confidently strip my slide down completely! every days a school day.. thanks everyone for their help!
  13. problem is the switch won’t even engage the mechanism for the safety, so even if I flick the switch to safe, it still shoots 😫
  14. This might show the part a bit better
  15. Okay so I stripped it down, re assembled and... all good! Not sure what was blocking it still. well.. I say all good.. I mean it’s all good without the safety switch 😫 I think the safety is operated by the small metal ring visible in the photo I’ve attached - but when I insert the safety switch, it won’t engage this piece to switch it between semi, auto and safe - it’s either semi or it’s safe and the slide won’t go back on the gun! If I pull the metal ring up so the gun is in semi, I can’t get the switch back through but can’t see why this is the last hurdle.. almost there!
  16. thanks for that! I’ll be diving into it as soon as these Allen keys come.. just hope that they’re not rounded as they look a bit.. well.. round on the safety switches. looks like the tip of the nozzle should be covered by the slide when seated on that video, can see mine hangs over. Hopefully that’s the fix I need!
  17. I honestly can’t find rhyme or reason for this! The only thing I can think is somethings not right at the nozzle, but I’ve not touched that so I’d assume it to be fine! ive attached a video which is a bit fumbly as I was trying to keep fingers out the way etc, but just so people can see I’m doing it as intended and not doing something daft? Also wasn’t sure what angles might be needed haha as you can see the guide rod sticks out - it was flush before! FullSizeRender.mov
  18. Is there an easy way to tell if it’s E&C or the newer ones? (I can’t recall who makes them but I’m sure you’ll know what I mean!) I can hear them from here telling you that you do!
  19. Hmm.. it does feel like it moves fine but there’s a hard stop when trying to get it back any further. Looking at a freeze frame of your video and the photo I sent - they’re probably seated the same.. so a little bit stumped! Guess it’s hard to tell without getting your hands on it. I should have the right size Allen keys this week to get the nozzle out, will fully strip it and re assemble to see if I can find the issue. thanks for taking a look! If there’s anything else you can think of let me know - this is typically my luck! Haha
  20. yeah heard a few issues regarding the H20/21 - another reason I opted for an older model should be fine as a base to upgrade!
  21. I can get it to return about 80% of the time, other 20% it stays about half way. I notice your nozzle pulls forward as you do that and mine doesn’t - As I understand that’s a bad air seal? Would that effect the slide sitting where it’s supposed to? your nozzle also looks set further back than mine, but I don’t think mine will sit back any further. Will the next step be taking that out to make sure all okay?
  22. looked at the H02 first but couldn’t find it in stock anywhere not unhappy with the H08 by any means, just something I’ll likely think about
  23. I too think it’s the spring guide! But it’s as far in as it will go, it’s like the part of the hop unit that it seats into is too far forward, but that won’t go back any further
  24. sorry I should’ve clarified - when I say shooting I just mean when I’ve put the slide back on, and pulled the trigger to release the hammer tension. ive attached the photos - tried to get the lighting on it as best I could. You’ll see some blue specs - which was a two tone job I believe at the time my buddy purchased the gun (which, thinking about it - should I respray the slide being that I’m not registered with the UKARA yet?) anyway, the point I was making is that the slide has been that way for a good year or so, so it’s not a thick layer that’s catching or anything ive tested the screws I can see - all feel absolutely fine. I’ve got some mini Allen heads on the way to access the nozzle to make sure it’s all okay in there. If the issue isn’t apparent in these pics I’ll post a broken down one when I can to see if anything stands out. thanks for getting back to me btw!
  25. Also another thing I noticed since taking it apart - is that it doesn’t always fire when I pull the slide back. If I pull the hammer down is fine I’ve noticed, but pulling the slide back is temperamental
