Hi everyone sincere apologies if this is a repeated topic. I have tried to search it but haven’t found any good results I recently swapped my barrel in my AEG rifle from a circa 250mm barrel to a circa 125mm barrel. Before the swap, the FPS was @ around 320. Today the gun Chronoed @ 279. I used identical bucking and hop mechanism and the gun fired and fed fine all day so I don’t think there was an issue there. question: Is this drop in FPS normal when you reduce the barrel length, and is the fix simply ordering a heavier spring? thank you

Hi all Disclaimers first, apologies if this the wrong place to post this or it’s been discussed before. I did try searching for it but failed, so, here I am. I have a general question regarding the relationship between range/accuracy and barrel length on Airsoft Rifles. I mention specific guns below but am really interested in the general theory. I have a krytac vector at the moment that has a longer barrel concealed behind a mock suppressor. It’s a great gun but the barrel length is a bit frustrating for CQB. I play CQB more than outdoor so thinking about selling the Vector (there are other things I dislike about it, not just this) and buying something short. Like a G&G ARP 556. However, I’m worried that if I do buy this, then when I go to play outdoor I won’t have the same accuracy at range that I have now. I don’t really want to own two guns and have zero technical skill for swapping barrels and hop ups and all that. So the question then. How much difference is the shorter barrel length likely to make at 20-30m? Thanks in advance for tips and thoughts. 👍

Nice one slamz, do you wear prescription glasses under the Bolle x800 goggles too?

Hello all As a prescription glasses wearer, I’ve been to foggy goggle hell plenty of times. Whilst browsing in patrol base today I spotted this.. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/exfog-antifog-system-t-band it looks a bit naff, and I’m not sure how comfortable it would be having the pipes sticking into the sides of the goggles, but if it works I would buy it. Anyone have the system or have any experience of it?
