      Just a polymer combat machine

You mean the barrel nut thread? That's AEG spec, just like every other AEG.

You mean the actual nut diametre? That varies depending on the handguard

      You mean what?

  2. removing the fuse from a combat machine.... a good idea?

I bin them off, but that's because I've popped a fuse on a locked up box with a stalled motor by doing the default reflex "Oh, I'll just hold the trigger and see what happens".

So once you've done that, you'll know not to do it again.

If the fuse pops because the motor has properly stalled under compression, you'll need to unlock the gearbox anyway.  All the fuse is doing is telling you that.  So now you need to unlock it and replace the fuse.

If it pops because of an electrical short, that's a different consideration and not one to completely discount with lithium in the mix.

It depends on your tolerance for risk.

Tis annoying as I got a nice slim stock and the fuse case is prohibitively large for my smallest lipo.  I guess safest this post removal would be to MOSFET it, but I'm trying to do this on the cheap.  If it does pop though, I have plenty of spare pews, not that I want to set it up to fail

20+ yrs playing binned the fuses out of pretty much every gun I’ve ever had(primarily for the exact same reason you want too) never had a problem with any of them . I’m a great believer in the train of thought that 95% of all faults that occur with airsoft kit wether AEG’s gas pistols or what ever is always down to user error and NOT the kit failing in its purpose . There not as strong as real guns so if you abuse them in any way shape or form it’s gonna end in tears . Savy ? 😉

  3. It's going. Not quite TM performance, but certainly adequate for a secondary. May even be more reliable than my kjw g17 with the mysteriously jamming slide... It Will go through a magazine (providing the magazine valves behave), accuracy is alright and range is good enough for engagement limitations for when pushed using my SVD. Are you aware of raptor's Facebook page? It's likely heavy trolling in part, but reviews from others are not amazing for it. Might be a lot of lemons out there. But for grach, there are no other options. Still like the way it sits in my hand though
  4. anyone had success ordering from Gunfire of late?

      Apparently not ? 😳😁

  5. Bit like this then? Remember seeing an older Brummy guy that must have had 3 or 4 pistols on him. Personally I have run around duel wielding before, but not thought to go beyond that.
  6. anyone ordered from FatBobs before? do they downgrade their AEG's automatically? rather not have to fix a hot gun

      Tactical Pith Helmet

I bought my G&G L85 from there.  Dead on 330fps.  Not sure if G&G ship hot rifs to the UK though.   All my new ones have been within limits.

  7. Also apparently isn't desperate for the money, but damn he is fighting hard for that extra £1.20.
  8. Welp, that's the TM Scar H recoil ordered.  Leaving it stock.  What batteries are people using?

Both fit but the nuprol allows full adjustability of the ugg boot

Don't need to be concerned with lipos in a TM?  Guessing 7.4 will be fine?  I was expecting it to be NiMH like the mk18

    3. Stratton Oakmont

      Stratton Oakmont

7.4 are fine, do not use 11.1 under any circumstances or you will kill it

  9. definately wait for a cyma, probably cheaper too. though i personally cant get over the Lancer AKM, it has a ak74 mag....
  10. My second AEG was a TM M14 SOCOM, it is by far my best sounding stock AEG, and i have never felt the need to tinker with it... I got a MK 18 recoil for christmas (best wife) and have used it every game since. Its a beast. its not GBBR levels of recoil, but its still enough to put a smile on your face and enjoy the novelty, especially on full auto. It is completely stock, including the fancy £45 batteries of which it needs two to last a day. I have never felt out gunned by any other AEG user, it has even gone as far as outranging some (most notably a guy whose rounds were dropping a few meters short of me getting hit with my first burst). I play outdoor woodland, its winter, so ranges are further than summer days, just stick 0.25s in it or 0.28s and get rocking. Its make me seriously look at getting the NGRS Scar H as my next toy. You will find on forums, especially like FB that people like to hate on TM because FPS is considered too low. When in the fine print, its probably them hating on the guns because the price tag is too high for them to afford or their internal value meter thinks that £500 for an AEG is too much. The finish quality is great, my CYMA M14 the stock creaks terrible (its my only gripe) the TM M14 SOCOM is solid. MY G&P m16 has a slight gap between the upper and lower receivers, the TM is flush. But i am a weirdo in this community i feel, looking at that screenshot. I never understand why the assumption is that everyone is going to 'upgrade' their guns?
  11. I have one. It's good. Tough I don't sweat crazy in helmets I do with this. So if you get one, I recommend a skull cap like this to go under it https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08C9R1DLN/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glc_i_YG4W1MMX18BVE8DY6S96?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  12. The g&g receiver set. Metal or plastic?
  13. My TM 1911a1 can easily clear a mag or two between gassing. Its stock though, plastic slides are less gas heavy. So I wouldn't write them off. Ran mine in last in December just gone at finmere, was uncomfortably cold. Also
  14. kinda off topic, but anyone done the order TG through patrol base? whats their mark up?
  15. Cant tell if its all computer games or my general bias towards the larger calibre Rifs, but why am I now looking at Scar H's?

    1. AK47frizzle

      AK47frizzle

I've found computer games does influence a lot of what you think is cool. If it performs well in a game, you end up associating that gun image with "good", and that seems to translate in real life.

    2. Akuma121

      Akuma121

Video games definitely influence me on what I want to purchase. I went out and got a ASG B&T USW A1 since it was used in the latest Resident Evil game. I'm also do the same with Scar's at the moment thanks to good old Escape from Tarkov.

Its Insurgency Sandstorm and Ghost Recon Wildlands doing for me on the Scar.  And after getting a MK18 NGRS, should a really get another NGRS...  If TG were delivering I'd likely get the DoubleBell off them (and a skorpion).  Need to get round to getting Tarkov one of these days.  Shame its not on steam

  16. use it for work. useful for getting to site out in the sticks. good for pin pointing obscure field entrances
  17. All the TM glocks have been removed from firesupport. has glock pulled another 'trademark' thing against them?
  18. Every now and then I look at my taiwangun wishlist like I was a poor beggar boy in some Dickensian novel looking into a toy shop. One day... wonder how cheap flights are....
  19. the no running on site clause on the Freefirezone insurance waiver always amused me...
  20. I think insurance requirements based on this is probably fairly likely. Plenty or risk assessments are lazy copy paste jobs and i can imagine someone who knows airguns wouldnt care to learn the difference when the power source is the same. Had my employer argue with a larger company's H&S for requireing 6 point ppe to run a gps across a farmers field. at what point is a hard hat necessary among dog walkers? we knew they couldnt come up with a valid justification when they then refered to it as a uniform for the project.... because ppe items have to be relevant to the task, and they couldnt be arsed to amend the ppe to the specific tasks on the scheme....
  21. firesupport's site FreeFireZone has that rule, was the same at their other site before it shut down Urban Assault. (no hpa at their sites either i believe... having not checked up on that before posting) The now closed sabotage near milton keynes didnt allow gas snipers i believe, but co2 other things were ok
  22. if it is a clone for the cyma... and bits are swappable.... wood kit time? please
  23. £220 in stock at patrol base... the grip sight and torch add £130 in value apparently with no depreciation.... damn
  24. my ICS has lasted 3 years unmodded and not missed a beat.... well it doesn't like semi anymore. beyond that its a great gun. but it is the sort where you have to want a certain look or loadout
