  1. Hi, Sorry if this topic has already been covered, What sites do people use to buy their ammunition/BB, I am looking at good to very good quality and weights from 0.20g to 0.43- I'd also want sites to buy in bulk, as well as to buy single bottles, let me know what you know! thanks
  2. Thanks for all the replies guys, it's all very interesting. Yep, I chose the Carbine kit for my GHK G5 over the DMR kit as I know I can buy outer barrel extensions or mock supressors if needed later on. In terms of regulating the FPS for when im changing barrels for something like the wide Orga Magnus 6.23, I may have to take out my 1 joule nozzel and put in the original factory nozzle in... or, GHK make the high power nozzle, which should get the fps to around 350, and if I install the single shot DMR trigger assembly adapter thing, sites should allow something like 400-450...I think. from your comments I think I will need to stop using 0.25g, especially if I am going to attempt installing an R hop (ER hop is probably too much hop isnt it). I'll have to look at 0.30g BB's and above. So to sum up the results from this topic/question, what do you make of my plans below. Gun at the moment: GHK g5 currently with carbine extension kit and 1 joule nozzle (i have been told the NPAS/adjustable nozzle can cause fps inconsistency) plans: buy Orga 6.23 inner barrel, possibly 300-400mm length max, with outer barrel extension and maybe mock supressor. I will fit this and test it out with various BB weights, from 0.25g up to 0.40, and see how it goes, accuracy wise. I also put a little PTFE tape around my current inner barrel and will do on this Orga barrel as GHK owners may know, the barrel wobbles ever so slightly against the outer barrel, causing the BB's to go off to one or both sides at long range- with the heavy recoil etc- it helped me a lot. If hop up could be improved, I will buy R hop kit, lengthen the window on the barrel etc....or get a good tech guy to do it properly, we'll see during these tests I'll keep the FPS round the sweet spot for sites, 350 and if DMR 400 etc, changing the nozzles and trigger assembly bam-
  3. I have hears that it should still work well with 0.25g, I could be wrong l. I should also add I will be converting the rifle to DMR / single shot only
  4. So, as the question says: I have heard that the best type of hop up in airsoft for long range is R hop, or even better, ER hop.. And yes I understand it will be a lot of work to get it right and working well. I have also heard, a wide bore barrel such As a orga magnus 6.23mm 455 barrel increases long range accuracy a lot also, even though more power is needed in your gun as more air is needed around the BB with the wider barrel. My question is, is this the best type of upgrades I can do to my rifle for long range distance? My rifle is a gas powered ghk g5, with carbine kit
  5. I mean 9.5/10, or 90% of the time lol. I have made a video of it in action, I have done some tweaking on the rifle to work OK at 140 feet. I will post the youtube link shortly
  6. Hi, thanks for your reply, that is interesting, I will try the shorter distance/tight grouping ! thanks!
  7. No, had a WE scar gbbr before. I bought it new, then added the kit myself.
  8. Hi, I am fairly new to airsoft and I am wondering if my rifle has: bad accuracy compared to normal average accuracy compared to normal good accuracy very good The situation is shooting an A4 peice of paper at a 30 meter distance (100 foot) and hitting the peice of paper 9.5 times out of 10. I am using 0.25g blaster BB's. My rifle is a gas (running propane) GHK G5, with carbine kit. S(pic attached) Be honest if my guns accuracy is really bad! I just want to know thanks alot
  9. MAPP gas is meant to be nuts- very powerful and lots of puff
  10. Hi, Quite like the look of Bolts new range but I have no clue on the make at all. I can't find many reviews on the stuff. I'm comparing to the krytac range, however all sites are out of stock. I have had word saying new krytac shipment will be in The UK Tuesday 4th August 2015. So my guess is distribution shortly after that date. Anyways. What are your thoughts on bolt? Krytac shipment date info source: shield psd (krytac UK importer) Thanks
  11. Nice that looks great, is that with the DMR kit or the carbine kit? Running off of HPA? Im wondering what the FPS is on say a GHK G5 with DMR kit with 6:03 barrel say, how can I get the FPS down but keep the accuracy from the barrel etc .
  12. Thanks for all the comments, they are great, keep them coming. As for the G&G, the new cm16 SR variants come with mofset, electric trigger and program for three round burst, pretty good for the price. The krytac seems to be the winner so far. GHK G5 would be my choice if Im looking for the most fun, it not being a replica or a real steal does not bother me. Hmmmm
  13. I want to get the GHK g5 gas rifle, then buy the DMR kit for it, looks great, very accurate and reliable and probably too powerful...
  14. Hi, I am new to airsoft (less than a year) so any opinions would be much appreciated. So far (and I am open to more options out there) I like the look of: Krytac CRB - people seem to be saying its very good out of the box, and well worth the money ICS cxp Ape - split gearbox, new sexy design Both seem to be fairly new out and around the same £300 mark. Is there anything better out there for around this price? (out of the box) Or - a different idea... I am being very tempted by the new G&G Combat Machine CM16, SR lot. I have heard G&G are very good in testing the guns and fixing issues etc, so they must be alright & 3 round burst ! and these new SR versions are under £190. They are now out: http://www.airsoftworld.net/g-g-combat-machine-srl-cm16-sr-l.html Or - again another different idea, the GHK G5 (yes GBB). I have owned a WE scar gbb open bolt, loved it. I really do not mind AEG or GBB- i know the pro's and con's fairly well...kinda. The carbine kit or DMR kits for the G5 looks good also however, that would make the fps around the 400 mark so not great & apparently the nozzle regulator valve thing makes the G5 fire v inconsistent. anyways, let me know your thoughts, Pics of the four rifles mentioned are attached. thank you
