  2. Actually some of the SL8's look quite cool and I imagine the G36 is a relatively easy gun to work on internally.

I have the jg sl85, it's actually a really fun gun to play with and in my opinion looks really cool, I have not tried to upgrade the gun in any way yet due to funds, but a quick strip down proved it was relitively simple to work on. Personally I really like the look of these guns and it bring something to the field that not too many others have

  3. Yes it does say it ha 12 months warranty.

The gun had been sent back to the shop it was purchased from due to a over clocking issue and a hop problem that was discovered to be a ripped rubber. Whilst is was in the shop I asked for the FET to be installed, and there it was installed.

Yeh the programme mode can be entered by holding the trigger whilst plugging in the battery. Also LED lights display a sequence of 4 lights in different orders/colours when you are programming mode so that you can navigate what part you are programming. None of these criteria were met when plugging the battery in which suggests that the gun is ready to fire, but as soon as the battery is connected the gun shoots in full auto even is it is on safe and the trigger is not being pulled.

Thanks for the reply and hope the added info helps explain a little more

  4. Hey all,

Recently I had purchased a gate electronics merf 3.2 and had it installed for me by a tech. I had followed the instruction manual and a couple guides online to correctly program the mosfet and all seemed to go expected. Until I connected the battery so that I could shoot the gun, it starts shooting in full auto as soon as the battery is connected regardless of fire selector and without the trigger being pulled.

I did a quick online search and most results suggested it is burnt out, so I am wondering if this is correct? Or if any one has any other suggestions to what it might be.

    Thanks,

  5. I can answer the bit about outer barrels: You're going to want any standard AEG type outer barrel. 5KU and DYTAC make good ones for a decent price - DYTAC may be the place to start if you want a silver one, but 5KU make them too. I know this is obvious, but remember you'll need a new inner barrel too - if you're going for HPA, then it may be desirable to go for a decent wide bore barrel as FPS shouldn't be an issue for you and that air cushion will increase the guns consistency. Perhaps also consider an R-Hop to get those most out of an HPA system.

Attempting to answer the rail bit: Any TM spec rail should fit your receiver. Consider the DYTAC UXR or Bravo maybe. Bear in mind some rail types require a delta ring and crown - that's a whole other kettle of fish and can require tooling to rethread, but if you're going for a keymod then you should be fine as these will fit right on.

    Edit

Some links to have a look at.

Hey, thanks for the advice, I have been thinking of the R-hop mod and will indeed be getting a new inner barrel and hop unit. A few of the pets I have been looking at did say they are compatible with TM, I was just not sure if that also ment g&g. But it so then that is great, also thanks for the links they have been helpful.

  6. Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this so please move if needed.

So I am looking at building a hpa system and have a spare g&g Gc16 raider full metal body laying around, and would love to put the system in this. How ever I want to change the externals, adding a 12" keymod rail and a 16" outer barrel( preferable silver).

The problem I am having is that its hard to find anything online about what parts are compatible with my g&g body. Also the parts that I have found do not specify whether they will fit (not sure if I can link the parts).

The second problem is my budget for this isn't very high, so the cheaper the parts the better.

Any advice would be great, or if any one has done something similar and could share with me how they accomplished it.

    Thanks for reading,

  7. Hey all,

I have finally got round to making an account on the forum after a while of a friend telling me to join ;p

I've played airsoft fornunder a year so still pretty new to the hobby, mainly play around the Bristol area as its close to me (live in Somerset).

So yeh, I hope to learn a lot from the forum and possibly meet some players :)

    Thanks,

    T.Rokey.
