  1. Oh... I haven't used it at any games yet but for target shooting it's been a bunch of fun and I really like it!
  2. Ah right, Ok. Well I'll be sure to post what i think of it when I have been then
  3. Just bought an extended mag for my MP7 and a foregrip for the G36. Really not expecting any sort of quality from the grip, but It's just to get me through one game.
  4. Oh I see.... So he WAS taking the piss haha. I have desert camo gear, Only wanted it because I think it looks cool. Not because I want to blend in... didn't think about it really O_O
  5. Haha thanks man! And I was using 0.2g. Has anyone been to Battle Lakes? It's only 20 mins from me and seems like the place I will probably be going first.
  6. I have all of the gear, I'll post pics later. It's kinda desert camo but still helps to break up the edges etc. I think I will probably just paint it then if nobody is going to care O_O
  7. I'll have to test it properly.... with a distance I know for sure. Double the range seems a bit too good to be true.
  8. I like the scarf idea. Sounds pretty easy to remove
  9. Hey sorry for dragging up this post. I was testing it out yesterday and I was able to hit a foot wide target about 45m away 8/10 times. Is it worth just taking it along to a site, playing with it, and seeing how it goes? (Distance was taken from google maps measuring tool, may be about +/-2) The accuracy and range is actually better than I expected... so maybe it's not all bad. (Certainly shoots more accurately/further/harder than the mp7)
  10. What would be the best way to cover it up? I was going to just paint it but as far as I can see, that should wait until I have UKARA. So... Other than painting... what are my options? (I don't want to hire, if possible)
  11. I'm probably going to be doing CQB almost exclusively. So hopefully I will see you around!
  12. Made some more progress this evening. Updated the OP. I will upload pictures when I get around to it tomorrow. (Not that anyway cares QQ)
  13. To be honest it's almost finished. At most i've got to spend another £10 on it and so far i've only spent about £20
  14. That's pretty much the plan. Once I have UKARA I was just going to let friends use the D68 if they want to come along. Is the d68 really that bad though? I really like it
  15. Haven't been to any games yet but this really caught my eye. Both guns that I currently have are for CQB. Was thinking about heading up there with a mate at some point after all my kit turns up.
  16. I pretty much only got the mystery box to get me started, to avoid having to rent. Plus my misses loves surprise things like that and it was great Thanks! I've 'only' got a Well D68 so apparently I can't do very long range stuff, but hope to see you about. Going to try and avoid renting. Will be quite happy to "suffer" my D68.
  17. I have two well P90's. One that came in the mystery box and another that was given as a gift. Currently I'm in the process of fitting an mp7 gearbox and have convert it to use standard p90 mags. Going to follow the advice of someone above and just take the G36 to a couple of games and see how it goes. I plan to get a "proper" G36 at some point anyway. The box was more to just get me started and be a fun gift
  18. I plan to get an umarex G36c soon. But this is going well as a project. Now got the MP7 gearbox up and running perfectly. Need to take a trip to B&Q tomorrow to pick up a few bits for the nozzle (need to be 1mm longer) and then I can get to mounting it. The conversion to a standard mag is now complete as well, along with a pretty awesome looking retaining strap.
  19. It's an exercise in: Working with plastics, learning the ins-and-outs of airsoft guns and making something my own. Like I said. The goal is not just having a working airsoft gun, that is easy, but making something unique is the challenge.
  20. So I'm from kent, looking to play games in the kent area!
  21. So for my 21st birthday my girlfriend bought be a £150 mystery box from bbguns4less. It came with a few guns, the best two being: A well D68 G36c and a Well R4 MP7. I really like them both and it seems to shoot pretty far with decent power and surprising accuracy. Is it going to be good enough to get me into the sport? Same with the MP7, will this be a decent secondary? I'm not fussed what other players will think, I just don't want to go and have no chance of getting any hits.
  22. Hey guys. So this is basically a thread to track progress but i do have a couple of questions to ask as well. Questions: - What pushes the release on the mag back on normal P90's?. Cannot find pictures anywhere, a lot of the time it looks like it just dissapears into a hole. Basically I got given a Well D90 for my birthday by a friend who didn't want it anymore. I'm going to be using is as a project gun as I am keen to make it into something cool. I have bought a gearbox from a well R4 to use in it (fits pretty well, power is OK) and I have started modifications to allow standard P90 mags to be fitted. I need to update this with pictures where I get home but here are some things that I have done already: - Modded to perfectly fit a standard P90 mag - set out and designed new mounts for the gearbox And here is what I need to do: - Attach a new mag retaining mechanism (my girlfriend has hand made a leather band to attach across the top. Looks awesome) - DONE - Attach a small ^ shape... something... to get the mag to feed correctly. - DONE - Make new mounts for the stock barrel. (this will probably be getting upgraded as soon as I get it shooting again) - DONE - mark out and cut a new slot for a much larger battery. - upgrading the trigger to something that uses relays or MOSFETS. - Paint it. Future plans: - Electronic fire select with little screen to display the mode(s). - Red/Green LED to indicate safety position. A lot of people are probably going to tell me it's a waste of time. And may be, but this would only really ever be used as a backup and it's a fun little project to work on. The intention wasn't to just have a working gun. I want it to be MY working gun. Any suggestions would be amazing. Cheers!
