  • Cheaters gonna cheat, even if you hurt them.

Blasted a dude in the face with the striker from around 15 metres (gun shoots 0.99J with .20s and I was using 30s, add a bit of joule creep), saw tooth fragments coming out of his mouth, he shrugged it off and kept playing.

Next time I'm gonna load .40s and see if he still doesn't call it when I go through his whole throat.

I'm not saying you did or didn't but having shatterered a canine tooth myself it's not something you can shrug off easily. I had to pull the tooth fragment out which was hanging from a nerve and it was no easy task. I have a high pain threshold and I can say it was not something I could ignore no matter how fast I ripped it out.

Why would you head/face shot at that range? Aim for centre mass, if it doesn't get called and by a miracle you aren't seen then shoot again. That's extremely dangerous, also a lesson on why you SHOULD wear lower face pro.

    Skara
    Skara
Centre of mass WAS his face, that was all I could see as he was peaking from behind a tree..

He also couldn't spot me as I fired through a tiny opening in a barricade. There were at least 2 more guys keeping him pinned..

That moment when you have some spare Euros to waste on airsoft stuff, but your local shops don't have anything interesting :(

I love when it rains and all your teammates decide it's not worth it.

Then the rain stops and everyone is complaining that we're not playing.

Like, how about you grow up a pair and get out of bed?

    Fucking chairsofters..

I totally agree, bad weather days always provide the most fun. No idea why though.

Maybe it's because we get only 6 to 10 people, the ones that play together all the time, so we're ultra chilled and just want to have a good time.

i think it's because if you're dedicated enough to the sport to stay out in shitty weather then you're more likely to be the type to play properly.

Totally agree with the above comments. It was raining on and off Saturday and I had one of the best days 'pewing' in a long time! Surrounded by a bunch of like minded people (decent players that took their hits) End of the day, we're all running around at the weekend playing 'army' why does bad weather have to stop that? Combat clothing etc drys out very quickly!

More than 48 hours to deliver a small box.

Like, the post office is literally 200m away from my doorstep, how can they take so fucking much?

Can't even go and collect it myself because they haven't even attempted to deliver it yet.

I even need to pay them €16 for "international delivery fee"

    Fucking robbery that is.

Deliveries in this day and age are soo hit and miss..

Always winds me up how Nike can take an order from me, tell me I have paid. email me three days later telling me item is out stock and I will not receive anything, or email me three days later telling me the item will be dispatched and I should expect delivery in three to five days.

    when:

I have ordered from an independent store in Spain late at night, had an email first thing the next day saying item had been sent and revive it the following day, so two working days from ordering! With sweets in the box :)

Same with airsoft stores and stupid delivery charges/times. If it fits in an envelope why do I need to pay £9.99 for postage PFTT!!!

Its a double edged sword, we buy online as its easier than getting off our arses, yet hate having to pay and wait for items to arrive :P

I only had issues with the national postal service.

All the private couriers always delivered right on time or earlier than the estimated date.

This order should've been here by the 2nd of February, today's the 7th.. And I still had to give them €14 because the parcel came from outside the EU ?

HPAirsoft parcel made its way across the pond to the Italian customs.

I wonder how many eons it'll take for them to make sure I'm not a terrorist and send me my stuff :)

Ahhh, I see. There're British and Polish companies also going by the same name. Perhaps they all need to get a bit more imaginative :D

I love how everyone in this forum gets their stuff from overseas in 3 days and I'm the idiot that waits for weeks, still stuck in customs and won't be here before Wednesday -.-

This country is so third world it's not even funny..

Also yeah proffrink, retailers have the extraordinary capacity to choose the same name ? "i ordered from X" "X in the UK, Italy, Norway or Burundi?" xD

Small update, parcel has successfully passed customs inspection, it appears i'm not a terrorist.

Now it has to get from Milan to my place. It's only 250 kms but I suspect it'll take a long time.

Easily the worst fucking day I ever had in airsoft.

Zero situational awareness, slower than a snail and I'm fat as fuck so I make a crap load of noise every time I move.

Also playing with a GoPro leads to terrible life choices -.-

But devils advocate by the very fact you’ve said this you won’t have been the worst there for it the number of times we’ve all seen some clueless cockwomble crashing around through the undergrowth and then bitching like hell as someone he didn’t see shot him , even though they’re practically in plain sight ! ?‍♂️

Chin up bud the next ones a new day !

I'm a fairly fit chap but when I started airsoft I found my weight to be working against me so I decided on a few lifestyle changes and dropped a stone of hard earned weight(I dont put it on easy or take it off easy).Airsoft for my hasn't been just about the pew pew its helped me get my self confidence back, get over huge self embarrassment and anti social issues too.

So please take this as advice from one comrade to another if your as passionate about your sport as you come across on this forum then use that passion and make some changes to your lifestyle, you'd be surprised what a few changes can do,diets are good for short term quick fixes but for long term results I strongly recommend lifestyle changes

If I have offended you in any way I'll apologise right now as this is far from my intention if how ever I can help you in any way please do not hesitate to contact me

    Best wishes to you

i wouldn't worry too much, i'm the same in many respects but it gets better with experience.

the weight issue is easily fixed if you have the motivation or you can change your playstyle and go for a calmer sneakier style of play, there are ways and ways of dealing with issues.

end of the day this hobby is just a bit of fun, if it motivates you to do a bit of self improvement then more power to you (literally!) but you shouldn't get too down over it. i take the view that whilst i might be fat slow and clumsy i've found at least something that'll get my ass out of bed on a sunday morning and doing some exercise with freinds which ultimately is better than the alternative of doing nothing.

    Wow.

    Found it.

G&G arp style drum for M4!

€60, thought it would cost over €100..

Quite surprised by the price as well!

I really thought it would be some overpriced piece of junk, considering the 9mm version goes for €80/90 in "local" shops.

Gonna take my M4s there as well and try it. If it feeds, it's mine.

If it doesn't, well, I'll stick to flash mags :P

good for tournaments because it's one less battery to worry about (and less weight to sling around, as my current drum mag feels like it's made of lead lined granite)

    F*cking hate traveling by train.

Missed one, stuck for a whole hour and a half waiting for the next one.

    Boarded, 40m delay -.-

    Fuck me life..

I have an exam in 4 hours.

And I am here, watching videos on YT.

Time to think about life choices ?

    Solly4568
well what else are you going to do ? don't worry you are not alone in  wasting time before an exam ?

Hand sewing scrims onto a bdu is boring -.-

Consider using shoe glue. I did this with my home made half ghillie, worked a treat. Strong and stays put and don't in half the time.

    Quick question.

Let's pretend I want to buy a gun from a UK shop while living in another country. Not a UK citizen, just a Europoor.

Do I need a UKARA or anything like a defence?

Asking for a person who raised the question.

    Skara
    Skara
It's not me, but I guess a mail with "hey can you take the spring off the gun so that it doesn't count as a complete gun?" In it wouldn't hurt.

A couple of mates had a few problems with Italian customs and imported airsoft guns unfortunately, so they won't say anything if they see "airsoft parts" instead of "airsoft gun" on the box ;)

VCRA 2006 doesn't prohibit export, but it's still a "sale".  It's entirely up to the individual seller whether they want to take the risk.

Just finished my daily dose of ebola (study), turned on the tv to watch a movie..

There's this "Doomsday" movie going on, sounds ok to watch.

20 minutes in and I already regret my life choices..

    Difficult choice here.

Buy the short striker from my town's shop for €250, or buy it from another "local" shop for €200 + €5 shipping?

The 250 guy is a friend (also plays in my team and isn't doing too well as far as shekels go) but at the moment I don't want to spend so much on the gun alone..

With the €200 option I may get a spare mag and a couple of upgrades for roughly the same price ?

    tips?

Its a tough one, personally I don't like mixing business with friends as money can be a sore point for alot of people.
For example if the gun doesn't work you are chasing a business for a refund instead of your friend.

    A
    Albiscuit
Be honest and tell him, at the end of the day business is business..

He may be able to match the price, or help you in the future.

But if hes a business man he would understand!!

If you buy it and he sees it in the future he will know you didnt buy from him, so better to be upfront about it now to save any awkwardness.

    Skara

Talked to him earlier as I bought a bag of bbs from him.

Apparently he's forced to buy this kind of items from abroad and he has to pay a lot for them in the first place..

On the other hand I don't have the resources to afford paying more.

I'll tell him I found a better deal, maybe I'll embellish it (saying I found an used one + spare mag + upgrades)..

This guy has a few things i'm probably going to buy anyway, I guess he won't take it personally if I don't buy the gun from him :)

meh, time to take my gun back to the tech, i must have messed up something in the mechbox.

gun shoots fine but there's a strange noise coming from the gears, either i shimmed them wrong or didn't properly lube them..

Also going to pick a new keymod handguard and suppressor for the badger, i'm tired of slinging a bar of lead around the field

On the hunt for a OD flannel shirt..

Seems like I can't find anything that's not extremely expensive nor too bright..

Any ideas where/what to look for?

    Meh, none in my area..

Went to H&M and found one, a bit darker than OD but I'm pretty sure it'll get better once I dye it with some proper OD or light brown

National airsoft tournament finals this weekend...

Pretty stoked to have made it this far!

How do you start to get into tournaments and stuff? I'm a long way off that level but always cool to know  :D

    Skara

    Well.. Not what we expected..

We got 5800 points over 13 objectives (3 of which were a bonus)..

    The 1st team got 6200..

B7t we also got a 1500 points penalty for some silly refs calling players out for no reason..

So we ended up 9th instead of 4th..

We do play on Friday evenings during summer, but "the season" hasn't started yet. On our field it gets pretty cold at night, even in July/August..

Plus we have free Sundays except for tournaments xD

Either I'm a pro AEG killer or my tech isn't really that good..

3rd motor pinion gone in 3 (game) days..

Can't wait to have enough money to HPA the crap out of my gun..

    Skara
    Skara
So, went to the other local shop, took the gun apart..

The bevel gear was in good shape, the pinion was crap, it completely filed itself down in 20 minutes, I got it replaced with a shs one.

The screw that tunes the motor height has been glued in place, so I had to get a whole new grip..

That set me back another €40..

At this point I think I'll start repairing stuff by myself..

At this point I think I'll start repairing stuff by myself..

That is how most of us roll

Let's face it - we break the stuff ourselves, what's the worst that can happen

Well to a degree - remember know your limits & the risk of making the problem worse plus the golden rule:

If it ain't broke - don't try to fix it

But wisdom is learnt by making numerous mistakes and screw ups, and most importantly learning from them....

I've already worked with my old ics m4..

With these guns I avoided doing it only because I didn't want to void the warranty, but now I guess the warranty is expired..

Oh well, it's gonna save me some money..
