  • My 4th (ever) painted WH40K model. I'm really happy with the progress I'm making between the 4 I've painted ? View attachment 130491

@gavinkempsellMiniatures or just Warhammer? Honestly, I didn't think I'd get in to it. There are some really cool miniatures available, particularly now with 3d printing. It took me about 6 hours to complete

Anything that small painted by hand, I never had the patience to paint my airfix models... even before carpal tunnel set in.

Had a great collection of grey, fawn & blue models as a kid.

Yeah that's understandable. I actually fond it really relaxing. There are some very big models that require less detail

Joined the list for stock notifications from landwarriorairsoft and finally got some mags for the vector. Still available if anyone needs

If it's a metal flash hider and metal outer barrel, kitchen blowtorch or a heatgun, just needs to get hot enough to denature and soften the threadlock, should come right off. If not, leave the whole tip ? soaking in WD40 overnight.

Still waiting on a pre order. Was told Jan, then it was cancelled and a new supplier gave assurances they'd deliver in Feb... no regular updates or reaching out. Last time I use that site.

I like lurking on this forum, but my god, people "scamming" and the bots are rife. Something needs to be done before users get too annoyed ?

    @Rogerborg @Colin Allen

So I had a long text written and then decided to log out and try to create a new account to see something but it's been disabled ?‍♂️ and it didn't copy.

Anyway, there are many suggestions on the forum suggestions thread/feedback as to how it can managed more efficiently. I understand nothing will be 100%.

On some discord servers you have to physically click a button to then be able to access the threads/rooms available, on Facebook you have to answer questions before you can join. I am sure that forum permissions would allow something similar.

My original post was not a dig at the mods, they do a great job. However looking at the forum suggestions thread, it appears things are being done in the background by the admin. Would have been good to have a thread about it or an update, but that's beside the point.

And Colin, I've offered to help before when i didn't have shift work and was very active on the forum. I dont think the answer is "more" mods personally. Furthermore, I understand scammers are on every site, I wasn't born yesterday, but again, like the above suggestions, anyone could sign up post a picture of a gun and sell it to an unsuspecting player with no real way of stopping them short of banning them after the fact.

If you understand that scammers are on every site, why complain in such a dramatic manner about people scamming on this site?  Scamming seems to be far more widespread on other sites.

The measures that can be put in place are dependent on the software the site runs on; I suspect that it does not have the functionality to put the sort of measures that you suggest in place.  If it does, they would probably have been implemented by now.

@Colin Allen - barely "dramatic" but, thats your opinion, just like i gave mine. Thats what a forum is for, opinions and ideas etc. So i can give mine in which ever way i wish. "Dramatically" or to suggest that something (anything) should be done.

A very quick glance on Google shows there is a way to do Q&A on registration and forum posts/thread listing vs how many posts said person has made. Or perhaps under 100 posts starting a thread in classifieds has to be "looked at" first. It runs off of IPB software which has been around for years and that's just two/three suggestions. Not saying they will work, but it's something rather than nothing.

As Jedi said, the admin has stopped registrations and is currently looking at what the next/best process is for spam etc.

I like the forum spam and scam free, as much as it can be, and it's frustrating to see it be used to scam on.

I'm back. Glad to see nothing has changed too much. Howdy ?

Ahoy, good to see you back. What did you not just buy?

@Rogerborg I did not just pre order the krytac vector, rushed on here to tell the vector man himself but he appears to have vanished ?

I don't know you, but welcome back mate! ??

Speed loader for TM mk18 GBBR? Lips are so tight i can barely get BBs in with a regular speed loader.

    R
    Robert James
@Groot So i got this today, still really difficult to load BBs. Im guessing ill just need to keep using it and keep using it to "weaken" the spring in the mag

They will be stiff for a while  ut that is the best speedloader to use.

Just try tilting the speedloader slightly as you use it. Should be a little easier.

Oh yeah, I always have to do all mine in sections of "Does this query work to just get the results". OK, then add a bit and see where it goes wrong. Which it inevitably will because you've missed a comma, or are trying to calculate months in a query (which works different from months outside a query) and so on.

But, once you get the building blocks it becomes very easy to reorder your whole set of answers by just editing one line.

I also find I have to make a document with all the little use cases I found (how do I compare two lists for VIPS, how do I find anything that's not been signed into for more than 3 months from today, how do I find the last time a customer contacted us based on their name) and show the working so I've got it for next time.

Aaanyway, enough of that, back to buggering up this 249 gearbox...

just as long as it's not date codes, i hate date codes with a passion :P

I've emailed ZMART regards a private game in Jan/Feb. Once I get an answer and details I'll post in other events. Look forward to seeing you all there

Looking for suggestions. Either a small primary or something to sling when I'm sniping. Currently considering the ASG MP9 or the ARP9. Any others thoughts welcomed

Thanks @ziCk_. I think I'm going to go down the route of either an Mp9, ICS PDW9, or maybe the arp556. Unless I can find something else that tickles my fancy. Nearly bought an evo again, decided not to. Want a glock, but they are annoying when it comes to tracers etc.

Also, none of my friends have a ukara number either

ICS PDW9 is great feel but it cycles twice on 11.1v on weak spring (complying with UK limits) so gotta run it at 7.4v. It's definitely not worth the money but damn it feels premium and looks super cool. It's more of "I want that gun" rather than "it's great piece of kit for the money". Don't get me wrong, I love it to bits but ARP9 just blows it out of the water when it comes to raw performance (and size, and weight, and drum magazine... I'm thinking about getting another ARP9 drum, butchering it and adapting for PDW9... look I normally hate hi-caps and the rattle and winding but ARP drum is just perfection). I'm surprised you've got rid of Scorpion - I mean, I've played around with it, borrowed from one of the guys that attends the field and as soon as I can afford it and someone sells grey one second hand I will grab one for myself. It's absolutely perfect in every way (I get that need to press slide release on reload might be annoying if one is not used to it tho). If you really want that ICS I will say go for it but I feel like ARP556 offers better value, also it's available in stock which can't be said about ICS products sadly... - it is butt ugly tho :P

Oh are you in the market for a pistol as well? My 3 favourite pistols I recommend to everyone and activelly use (I have a WE Glock 17 too but I rarely use it.. used it before got AAP-01 because of cheap extended magazines available):

    1) AAP-01 (this is the best looking Glock... because it looks like Ruger Mk.IV xD)

    2) CZ P-09 (pretty much no customisation whatsoever but it just works out of the box and over many years never had any issues with them... I own 2 now, because wanted one in grey as well :D)

    3) CZ Shadow 2 (it's just marvelous, perfect copy of competition gun but again, no aftermarket parts... not that you need them - one of best pistols out of the box IMHO, the only thing it really lacks are extended magazines)

CZs can be ran both on CO2 (after 1st shot it's within fps limit) and Green Gas so it's perfect for this cold climate.

I've had an evo before. It was the BET version, it put me off. The 2020 revision version seems better, but it just feels like a gun that everybody says is great, once you spend money on it.
