Some doctors now recommend it - I have heard others do not. There is still a stigma attached to it, but any medicine can be abused and there are pros and cons for everything. As others have said, perhaps ask your GP about it?
For other user opinions on that, reddit has dedicated sections for it that may be worth a look...then again...it is reddit so probably not!
On another note- have you ever looked into cold showers? Some swear by ice baths too. Also could be worth discussing this with GP?
I have been doing cold showers daily now for nearly 4 years and for me it has numerous benefits, but they are still pretty miserable...in a good way...I think!
But again just to reiterate - the others are right, best to talk to GP before doing anything.
I sometimes advise people to write a letter to take in the appointment with you, as its sometimes hard to remember all the points and queries to make/raise - but could also help let them know that you feel like you are running out of options. Sometimes the doctors also use the letter and upload it so it has benefits all around.
