I find it very surprising that people have been having such difficulty getting hold of RS products, I been able to by direct from RS since 2017. Showy is the rep I have been dealing with and they are very responsive and nothing but helpful.

Yeah for the last few years that has certainly been the case. In the last 12 months or so, they've posted more on Facebook, YouTube and are also responsive to emails.

I got to handle one quite a few years ago and was impressed, unfortunately I never got to own one though as by the time I was in the market everywhere was sold out. If they're making a comeback then I'm definitely interested. I've recently seen playing Mercenaries 2 again so a type 97 would be a great excuse for a themed loadout

Certain parts in some models yes, early type 97s have all dissolved now, lol but some later AKs, like the one I have is still going strong and great ….. but it’s time to sell it now, lol

As part of the upcoming collaboration to bring back Realsword into the UK, starting with the Type 56s in March, Realsword agreed to sell me an old display SVD. A Gen 1 with the glossy furniture nonetheless! Not letting this one go this time...

Hopefully I can convice them to restart production of the SVD
