The King Arms FAL returns!

I admire the dedication of those who pain their FNs in bush war colours, to be blunt the re-sale value will be obliterated.
True, but imo that goes for 99% of paint jobs

Fair point on both counts. Had a set of Brush stroke pattern BDUs in the past, notice one or two players would be slightly "heavy" on their trigger pulls when I played in it.
I've heard people openly bragging about doing similar things to players in ww2 German loadouts (Heer not SS). I've never understood the mentality behind it as unless they're actually saying racist crap then they're just playing dress up and there are plenty of other historical loadouts which it could be argued represent those who committed atrocities or war crimes but are given a pass

Classic army did an inaccurate msg90 aeg some years ago for a short while
They also teased a HK21 on one of the Social Media channels. Sadly nothing came of it.  Similarly LCT hinted it at a model in a YouTube video.

Perhaps at some stage in the distant future?

At least King Arms eventually restocked some of the FN line.

I wonder how practical it would be to do a coat of plasti-dip first, then accents on top of that.  In principle, it could be peeled off, although it might be a sod to get it all off.

Could work for for a Rhodie FAL or a Lone Survivor style SPR.  The parts that are frequently handled would possible wear, although that may add to the character. For a Wall hanger it might be an ideal prospect. Food for thought, all the same.

FFS... I'm trying not to like it, I can see my bonus leaving my account quicker than it went in.
If you do indulge, some feedback would be terrific.  Torn between this and waiting to see how long LCT's version will take to get to market.

I doubt my feedback would be of any real merit, I rarely game & when I do I tend to use my favourite used rifs, even my L1A1 is unused as it's too hot for my usual site.

Understood.  The L1A1 is an Ares model?

It's been slated many times on here & on YouTube but pfft... I like it, would it last a match tho?

The STAR/ARES SLR? I have both and both have done thousands of BB's over the years without a glitch. I've even fitted the full auto selector to one and again it's been bombproof. The company has a bit of a bad rep but outside people looking for youtube likes they aren't that bad. No better or worse that the bulk of AEG's. I have the King Arms Para FAL and it's no better or worse than the Ares apart from you are unlikely to get an external part from King Arms if it falls off and you loose it as their support game is weak.

I have the Ares L1A1; out of the box, it has a number of issues, most of which I have fixed although some, such as the overall poor design choices and the rather weak gearbox, are just something that you have to live with.

Mine gets used regularly and, so far, has run well, which I would hope it did after all the work I have put into it.

I have found Ares to be helpful with replacement parts if they have them in stock.
