The 'What have you just bought' Thread

So, the lack of tri lug suppressors, and the desire to move the suppressor a bit closer to the front sight prompted me to buy a 12mm CW to 14mm CCW adapter so I could get rid of the tri lug adapter on my Cyma MP5. And a Kriss suppressor and flashider from aliexpress.  Note the spelling mistake lol.  I like the look.

I am just a sucker for project builds. It starts as a nuprol, but it will eventually inherit the innards of my 1j dmr build when that goes to hpa. Then it will be a cqb/assault machine.  No reason this can't have the performance of my 1j dmr build but be waaaay more maneuverable and with less care for conserving ammo.

Nuprol is always such a mixed bag, it's like little surprises waiting for you! The crane stock is the best fitting crane stock I have used. Zero wobble. None. Stupidly consistent with the hop set for 0.25s. But then the upper was rocking like a jelly and the barrel has no crowning!

Anyway, the wobble has been mostly fixed with tape on the back end prongs to hold it down, it'll get a grub screw for the front pin to hold it down further, and a new barrel and hop (I hate geared hops). The old barrel might be a practice barrel for some things, it at least isn't rusted like the ak21 barrel was ?

I also want to mention this feyachi V30 red dot. I was on the lookout for a T1 style red dot, or at least one on a more vertical riser, and then I saw a reviewer beating the V30 with an ammo tin and it retained zero. So yeah I bought it. It even comes with a kill flash so I don't have to spend a day with hand cramp making a protector for it.

I'm looking forward to having a gun I can run in a more assault role that I don't mind pulling apart. Also I already threw my warhead into it and it's such an easy but insane upgrade.

Bought a Magpul MBUS rear sight and a Buffertube Foam cover, will be running my MWS CQBR without a buttstock until I get a Magpul CTR.

Just can't bring myself to continue using the cheap plastic, hollow crane-stock it came with as it completely ruins the immersion for me.

Don't know if you've ordered a CTR already but Powair6 are well worth checking out for Magpul stuff. Having said that, you may need to bump the order up to avoid excess charges, and HMRC looked liked they'd fucked the packaging prison-style when mine was delivered, but everything was fine. Good service too.

You going FDE for the stock? How you finding the trigger guard?

I've ordered from powair6 a few times for MP7 mags and had good experiences surprisingly quick delivery too.

Yeah, FDE preferably to keep inline with the scheme. The trigger guard is also something I could do without, I've actually managed to cut myself whilst simply handling it.

Something like the above will fix that though. But with the exception of the three minor grievances I'm still absolutely loving this GBBR. ?

Yes, you’ll need to make up a 1mm alloy spacer, bolt pattern is the same though
Ah bugger, didn't realise that about the spacer. Dont really have the tools to do that, so guess I will send it back and just go with the TM sight

Thanks for the info

The Magpul trigger guards fit if you just file a bit of material away. Makes all the difference ?View attachment 87848
