Hi everyone, here for sale is my Ares AS-01.

I bought this a few months ago intending to get back into the sniper role but have found myself using my AEGs exclusively. It's a light, handy rifle and an excellent performer. Internal upgraded parts are listed below:

• Action Army Striker hop up unit
• Maple Leaf Autobot hop bucking (60 degree IIRC)
• Maple Leaf 300mm 6.02 Stainless steel inner barrel
• AirsoftPro Piston
• AirsoftPro Spring guide
• M140 spring
• Amoeba Steel 1-piece sear

In addition to this, the rifles' outer barrel has been shortened in order to make it more compact (also fits better with the shorter inner barrel). It also comes with 4x Ares Striker magazines, 1 long and 3 short (2 of the short mags are brand new), as well as a compact 2-8x scope with a mildot reticle. The rifle is currently fitted with a lovely alpenflage sling made by Grave Solution, which will be included if the asking price is met. The pointless and flimsy cocking indicator has been removed and replaced with a steel pin which is retained by a screw (good, robust solution and not prone to falling out and getting lost like the stock piece).

The rifle is shooting at almost exactly 2J on a 0.40g BB, so should be site legal in most places. Bolt pull is fairly stiff due to the M140 spring but is easily manageable if you brace the rifle in your shoulder whilst cocking. The 2 allen keys are still present within the stock compartment, the 2mm for adjusting the TDC hop screw and the 3mm for disassembly of the rifle.
