Reluctantly I'm looking to sell my G&G MG42 due to needing funds. I bought it second hand but I have never fielded it myself as I was waiting to build my Heer gear but as my group went Allies, I never got around to it. It's got some light natural weathering on it but its otherwise in perfect condition. Probably the most well built airsoft gun I've ever owned let alone seen. As you probably know its almost entirely made of steel and wood, with some great features such as the realistic barrel changing or the dream of a gearbox removal which can be done in about 10 seconds. It's definitely not light, clocking in somewhere around 13kg which is almost the real weight. It is without a doubt the best MG42 produced for airsoft.
These guns are a labour of love from G&G and the quality shows that from its machining to the finishing on the gun itself. It turned a lot of heads the two times I had it on display.
Along with the gun and its gurtrommel magazine (and the magazines battery) there is also a spare gurtrommel magazine, the 50rnd dummy belt, sling (original to my knowledge) and a genuine spare barrel case which according to Soldier Of Fortune was used in Fury (2014).
The gun has been freshly oiled externally and I'm going to double check the spare box magazine tomorrow (Picked it up at a bootsale but have never tested it). It shoots great and the hop works fine at least from the distance I can test in my garden.
Price wise I'm looking for £1500. I understand that this is near the price of what they were new back in the day (£1600) but it turns out that G&G has discontinued them so these are going to become even more collectable pieces than they already are. Not only are they hard to find in stock in the UK, the prices of just the gun and magazine alone are nearly £1800 where they are in stock. There is also the additional parts, the belt by itself goes for somewhere around £100+!
This would need to be collected when we are free for two reasons. One is because of the amount of money so I would like to do it via bank transfer, so I want you to be able to see it and test it to be sure and happy with it. Paypal starts getting ansy from what I've been told over sums higher that £800ish and to my knowledge still do not like airsoft gun sales. (To note, I do all my purchases through PayPal but have never done this kind of sum, however a friend of mine has with a gun sale and his account was deleted for it.) The second reason is so there is no risk to it being lost or damaged (hard to do) in the post. I live in Newbury just outside of Reading very close to Red Alert Paintball & Airsoft.
If you're interested, ping me a message. Cheers.
