Description

Listed is the CYMA SVU I bought a few months back from Patrol Base and attempted to skirmish with once but found it was severely lacking in its stock configuration.
To Patrol Base's credit they did list a sub 300 fps but I either had specs from another site or ones from the mlok model in my head so you can imagine how disappointed I was to attempt to field this and found it only performed around 260-290FPS making it the weakest RIF I own.  I knew I'd have to use it as an assault rifle with it being capable of full auto but I'd have had better luck with a shotgun. Even my old stock JG Mac 10 out performs this by a long shot. Thankfully though it never skipped a beat in terms of feeding or shooting straight. I had no problems hitting a tight grouping at close ranges when dicking about at the firing range pre-match. Its just unfortunate that it lacked the power to follow up with on mid range engagements.

Comes with everything that was originally included; box, useless manuals (intended for generic V3 gearbox AK's etc.) an unused nimh battery, basic UK mains charger, one high cap mag, bipod, mock suppressor/compensator, flip sights etc. though I've included a D-loop strap to the back that wraps around underneath the cheek rest because weirdly these things only came with one sling loop.

Camo tape on the grip and cheek rest can easily be removed I just stuck it on there last minute before a match day to give me something a bit more comfortable to hold onto during cold early December weather.
Bipod clasp is a bit loose but thats just common with all of these SVUs, it works better to just use a hair tie or an elastic band tbh.

You can see on the top of the handguard (which is also the battery compartment) that there's some small ugly cutouts. This was done in the last minute preparation on the match day using a triangular steel filing tool just so I could attach a rail ontop for an optic. There's nothing wrong with the side mount option - my dumb ass just forgot to bring the mount in the first place and I'm too blind to be using those iron sights so we ghetto rigged a solution.

I remedied my problems with this buy just buying someone else's much better Cyma SVU without the need for more upgrades 😅
It would make an ideal DMR project with just a decent hop up upgrade and maybe gearbox spring or a collection piece for that spicy Glaz cosplay.

(Does not include my ghetto rail addon or any optics. Just good ol' irons.)

Postage is £10.
