VFC MP5s Chewing Gas Router

So i have two brand new VFC MP5s. Neither have had more than maybe 3 magazines through them and last time i shot one it felt down on power and let a load of gas out the ejection port.

 

A look at the magazine shows the front of the rubber gas router has a chunk taken out of it. (Another magazine has the same to a lesser extent.)

 

 

I bought a new nozzle and some new gas routers, but wondering if anyone else has encountered anything similar? Looks like i just need to shave a little off the loading "finger" or chamfer the leading edge.

are you using the right mags? They may simply be be inserted too far.

They're the ones that came with the guns. I have spares that haven't been used.

I love VFC mp5's so much but there's a lot of negative feedback out there on them and it seems mostly revolving around the magazine. The problem your having looks exactly like Explosive Enterprises problem, he recommends rounding off the leading corner of the nozzle but he does state it will only reduce not eliminate the wear.

I saw that yesterday when i had a look at the gun. I carefully rounded the nose like it said, but now it only feeds BBs from one side of the magazine. So you get one shot, then it cycles without loading another into the hop. 😂

 

Stupid gun, i really want to take it out and use it too.

A new nozzle won't break the bank & could 'potentially' easily sort the issue

It's a brand new gun, and the one i rounded the end off was another brand new one  ☹️

Can you lower the router slightly ? Given how much lower the gas port on the nozzle is compared to the loading prong that might do it .

 

Wont mention that I ran my WE MP5 SD on sunday ,used the drum mag with an HPA tap as well as the stick mags, and that it ran flawlessly all day . I did have to go up to .36's in it as it would over hop my usual GBB .30's with the hop on minimum.

Not as far as i can tell. When i changed it, there doesn't seem to be any space for movement.

 

I want to run them on CO2 with NPAS which comes with an ally loading nozzle, but i still need to figure out the failing to feed issue. Possibly magazine feed lips too far apart?

Could be , but as the BBs move up to the lips they should centralise. When it happens is there a BB sat up in the feed lips ? could be sticking slighly and not feeding properly , I've had that in pistol mags before.
