NiallT Posted Thursday at 22:12 Share Posted Thursday at 22:12 Considering a E&C M16VN. There seems to be two types with a slight price difference. One is referred to as a "QD V2.0", the slightly more expensive version is a "QR 1.0 EGV" Not sure what these terms refer to. Although the URL's refer to one as black, the other as grey, they are both described as black in the listings and pictures. https://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/products/ec-m16vn-qr-1-0-egv-black/ https://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/products/ec-m16a1-2-0-airsoft-rifle-grey-receiver/

This was Action Hobbies' response to my question. Thoughts? Hi Niall This is going to sound very odd, nothing really, we started getting the 1.0 before the 2.0 and externally identical, internally we can not tell difference but the 1.0 is slightly older and cost us more at the time we could get them, we was going to take the advert of the 1.0 model down but if we was to not able to get the 2.0 version for some reason then at least customers have the option of the 1.0. If you are asking me the better version its the cheaper 2.0 model Apologies if all thats confusing Regards
ButcherBill Posted Friday at 18:33 Share Posted Friday at 18:33 Google is your friend, save £1 or £20 saving enough for a couple of mags or an ultra cool bandolier. https://www.firesupport.uk/ec-m16-vn-qd-v20-airsoft-rile-aeg-black-version.html https://jdairsoft.net/e-c-ec319-m16vn-qd-1-

ButcherBill Posted Friday at 20:59 Share Posted Friday at 20:59 (edited) Yeah, sorry I meant to add... After reading many posts over the past 18 months or so my gut feeling is any V2 fixes a few issues with V1, V3 fixes a few issues with V2 etc so personally I'd get the V2 one from the seller with better feedback, I've bought from actionhobbies without any issues & fire support seems to get get good recommendations from members on here. ak2m4 Posted Saturday at 02:53 Share Posted Saturday at 02:53 strange response from the retailer, I wonder if they did open up the gearbox. QD V2.0 refers to the actual ability to change the spring without removing the gearbox from the lower, however QD V1.0 you had to remove the whole gearbox from the lower. Looking at the photo of the gearbox for QD V2.0 it's showing a non QD gearbox as well .... Very confusing. I know it can be a ballache but sometimes you just wish retailers would just do a nice video takedown of each RIF.
