Does anyone know of any repro dual PTTs that have 1x TP120 socket for a normal headset, has 2x PTT buttons and has 2x kenwood leads to 2 separate radios?

I've found the code red NX Dual PTT and Dyplex Invictus, but they're all real steel kit with a price tag to match. I've only ever done 1 milsim in 2 years, so i'm not exactly getting bang for my buck!

My £10 repro PTT is the only bit of comms kit Ive had that has worked flawlessly for 2 years. So I cant justify £140 or so for a RS PTT. All said and done, its 2 switches. I'm half way to thinking about building a custom one, I put the parts in my ebay shopping basket earlier!

MMmmm Photo bodge....

Interesting

I have no answer for you, but I could be interesting in anyone’s answers

I take it that you want:

to carry two radios,

listen to incoming from both,

and transmit to whichever button you press ?

.......

and even if you do get answers I’m interested in the components you have put on your shopping list

I’ve run two and more radios a few times, either in a faction command chain:

central command radio, team sub radio

Or game running:

Event safety

Event running (storyline control, directing marshals etc),

contact to faction commanders (missions and help etc)

Yep that's the idea.

Shopping list below.

2x Cables, 1x socket, 1xclip from the u94 PTTs

2x 12mm waterproof momentary push to make buttons. That style because that's what the real steel ones use and I'm hoping they'll give a decent tactile feel.

Undecided if I 3d print a housing like the code red nx dual PTT or use an off the shelf project box.

I've been mulling this over and realised a  previous solution I came up with to get away from broken down leads would also solve my dual PTT conundrum...

So seeing as my downlead needed fixing anyway, I just did it....

I put a 4pole 3.5mm jack socket on my headset and one on my PTT so theres a secondary down cable between headset and PTT that can be quickly replaced and cheaply bought.

I left on (and repaired) the original tp120 down lead too. Now I have a headset with 2 down leads. Which can be used to:

1:Provide rendundency incase a cable breaks.

2: Plug into 2 different PTT switches.

3: I can inject in music at the headset or PTT.

4: I can extract sound for videos or whatever else at the headset or PTT.

5: I can use regular phone earphones with the ptt for Comms.
