Krytac LVOA War Sport FPS Drop

Hi folks I'm after some help with my mates LVOA War Sport, which for some reason has had a dramatic FPS loss. 

When the trigger is pulled it sounds like it's struggling and the battery is going flat, even with a fully charged battery. 

Shooting .2s the FPS is ranging between 184 at the lowest and then 229 at the highest, but even with the hop off 229 is as high as it will chrono. 

The RIF is about 12 months old and has been skirmished less than 10 times in its life.

 

Next step for us is to crack open the gearbox, but if anyone can point us in a direction of what to check we would be grateful.
