Triggerman Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Im a new to airsoft. I've played a few times and Intend to keep playing. The person I normally play with is leaving the UK and intends to gift me his rifs one handgun and a rifle. He says as there gifts don't have to have a defence (other then the details of the places I actually play at ) to keep and use them to play. This that still correct? I just to make sure he isnt just saying it as an easy way to get rid of rifs and I can't any more recent posts on the subject
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted July 12, 2017 Head Moderator Posted July 12, 2017 If they are a genuine gift, given for free with no exchange of money or other items, then that is acceptable. In the same way a parent can gift a gun to a child (it is illegal to sell to an IF or RIF to a child (under 18 years old)). Because they are gifts and not being sold then there is no defence required.
