Nuprol 886 Holo Sight

The Nuprol 886 is basically a 556 holo sight, its a shorter and smaller person with horizontal batteries but its otherwise identical to the 551 that I see a lot of people using. The sight itself comes with a red dot and circle around it as you would expect from a red dot holo sight. It wasn't a problem zeroing it. But I had two issues with the sight that were quite apparent at Okto and my friend who spent much of the weekend using it complained about them both as well.

 

1) The sight picture/glass is quite dark. Its noticeably grey/brown compared to the background and once you get into the woodland it becomes prohibitively so. This is likely everyones main fear when buying a sight and I can confirm that Nuprol sights have this issue based on what I have seen.

 

2) The front glass of the sight gave off a strong reflection that got my friend spotted and killed when hiding in the undergrowth.

 

Thus unfortunately like so many of the replica sights this one has a strong darkened glass and highly reflective surface that gives you away. Don't recommend the sight, for half the price a G&P aimpoint has considerably clearer glass than this and is preferred to the holo.
