Frontier Airosoft's next game (12th July 2015) is an apocalypse themed full day game, with the Miners guild taking on the Federation in the wastelands of Staffordshire.

Just £25 walk on, £40 rental.

The story (property of FA I'm sure) and booking details follow:

What came before…
No one remembers when The Event happened. Some people say a hundred years, others say more… A few people even say it’s always been like this, that the world that was before is only a dream that someone made up to give people hope… Hope that things can be different.

Nobody knows why it happened, either. The Event, that is. A great war, a border dispute, competing for resources… The why doesn’t matter, though; it’s the what. And everyone agrees on the what; they let slip the dogs of war. The most powerful weapons in the world were unleashed, and the Earth was reduced to dust and ashes. Vast temples of the world that was, splintered and despoiled, still stab upwards from the ground like broken teeth; grim reminders of that which The Event took away.

The people hid. They found bunkers and crawled into the womb of the Earth. There they lived, cramped and squalid. People forgot the sky, and dreamed of clouds. Time passed…

When they finally emerged into the light, some people were nearly blinded. They found what little fertile land they could in the wastes that remained, and they clung there together. They built shelters and began, slowly, to reinhabit the surface…

We are their descendants.
Nearly two hundred years passed for the people sheltered in the bunkers. Children are born, grow up, grow old, die; generations move along. As the people began to emerge and reclaim the charred land, they found that the ravaged and toxic land was overrun with bizarre, overgrown vegetation and hideous mutant creatures. They began to spread out, establishing small townships and attempting to rebuild some form of society. As they did this, they discovered that there were others out in the world too. The descendants of survivors that remained outside the bunkers, now reduced to nothing more than primitive tribes as society and technology crumbled around them.

It’s now been thirty years since the first of the bunkers opened, and an order of sorts has slowly begun to return. Trade routes have been opened between settlements, and Governments and political structures have started to appear; life has begun to find a way. However, much like the old west, the land is vastly unexplored and perilous. Mutant creatures still abound, and bandit groups are rife in this bleak landscape, and due to these threats, everyone is armed. The law is only firmly held in places where the Government has begun to take hold, so people take the law into their own hands.

A new monetary system, the Credit, has stabilized in the last fifteen years, and is now fully established across what was America. Self-elected ‘President’, Martin Fallum, descendant of a former US Marine Commander commissioned to one of the better-stocked bunkers, has a large private army at his disposal. He has started to use troops under his command to unite many of the settlements under the ‘Federation of Fallum’. Depending on your political bent, the 'Feds' can either be described as a Government or a Dictatorship.

During the time the settlers lived underground, the world was raked with meteor showers, and the meteorites left behind were scattered randomly across the Earth. Within these meteorites, they discovered a new fuel source named Centite. It is currently the most valuable resource in the world, and is the basis for the Credits now used as currency. Prospectors scour the wastelands for meteorites, hoping to find the mother load that will make them rich and powerful. Many die, killed by bandits, dehydration, the hostile environment, mutant attack… even by each other. Still, each day more arrive, leaving the townships and settlements behind to seek out their fortunes.
Present Day

Frontier Township

Frontier Town is the last fortified outpost on the boarder of the area that has been reclaimed by civilization over the past fifteen years. Originally nothing more than a handful of scavengers and miners camping together for protection, it has grown steadily and now boasts a Centite refinery , medical facility , armoury , bar and a democratically elected Mayor and police force.

During the last 2 years the township has been under pressure to join the Federation of Fallum (a self-elected President and his private army, that is currently trying to take control of the wastelands and establish order. ).

The Federation is responsible for the limited safety now established in the civilised areas. Slavery , murder and theft are now crimes in these areas enforced by their troops. However this does not come without a price, the self-elected President Fallum will often order his men to take forced conscriptions from a towns population, commandeer machinery and enforce a tax on those under the Federations protection.

The people of Frontier Town resisted the Federation, agreeing instead to ship back 90% of the Centite Ore they refined back to the Federation in monthly shipments, the shipments collected via one of the few remaining helicopters still operational in the new world (the wastelands close to the town are rich with deposits and Frontier Town is responsible for 17% of all Centite production in the new world ).

By agreeing to this on-going contract and willing to take federal currency in return for refined ore, the deal has allowed Frontier town to remain independent, and enforce its own laws as well as trade the raw Centite ore at its own rates to the miners operating in the wastelands.

The Federation of Fallum

In the last 10 months the Federation as moved a small garrison into the uncharted wasteland near the town. These troops have established the base and are now pursuing their own mining operation. This has led to several pitched battles with the unaffiliated mining groups operating in the area.

The Law of the wasteland is little more than a lose collection of commonly agreed etiquettes such as “never steal a person’s boots while they sleep” and “killing a man without clear provocation or profit is wrong”, but even these vague practices are often ignored. It is a wild place where the rule of force is imposed on anyone not sufficiently able to protect themselves. Federations authority holds no meaning to the miners and bandits operating in the area, as such the Federation troops are often ambushed and attacked by claim jumpers and bushwhackers.

In order to try and push Frontier Town to accept full membership into the Federation. The President has ordered him men to aggressively pursue the mining operation this summer, hoping to monopolise the ore collection and force the town to accept them or lose the trade rights on the Centite harvested for refining.

The Miners Guild

The Miners realising the only independent refinery in the area may fall to the federation domination were quick to respond, and have united into the newly created “Miners Guild”.

The Miner Guild now has over fifty groups of previously independent miners united under on banner, they work in groups and share resources to allow a larger harvest of Centite. It is the objective of the Guild to prove to Frontier Town that the Federation cannot monopolise the wasteland and that the quantity of Ore provided by them is of a higher value to an independent township than one under the control of the Federation.

The Race is on…

We are now in the last few weeks of mining season, the annual dust storm is due to cover the wasteland any day now and will last for several months. Along with the toxic dust will come the radioactive mutants known locally as “Rads” making mining impossible. The race is on to bring in the biggest harvest of Centite before the season ends, Both sides will stop at nothing to disable or interrupt the others operation, while constantly fighting to take control of the next mining vain.

Who will prove victorious ?, what will be the fate of Frontier Town? And do you have what it takes to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland ?
