Tonys1221 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 My M4A1 hasn't been shot since the last game day which was at the end of October, went to shoot it today in the garden and the trigger is hard to pull, very unresponsive and one in about ten shots will not fire until the next pull of the trigger. Any ideas on how to fix this or what the problem is? The gun is completely standard, the gear box has never been opened.
sunstar Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 trigger is hard to pull => There must be something wrong (A jam of some kind inside the trigger mechanisem)... very unresponsive => This can be because the trigger contacts as just barely touching eachothers because of the jam .... Nothing can be concluded for sure .... I don't thing you can fix it without having to open the gun (And maby also open the gearbox) ...
Tonys1221 Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for your help, Looks like i will have to open the gear box and have a look inside.
Russe11 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 sounds to me like corrosion. If you put it away wet or dirty and left it for 3 months. My bet is that the trigger is corroded.
Tonys1221 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 I gave it a clean and a spray before it was put away. If the misses lets me i will take it apart today
sunstar Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Corrosion often happens in places that you can't clean without opening the gun ;-) So cleaning and spraying it don't realy prevent corrosion ...
Tonys1221 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Found that out the hard way All sorted now though. Thanks for you help.
