ballen Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Hi all, Just a quick question if I may regarding charging airsoft batteries, I have purchased a Vapex 'intelligent' charger and I'm having to cut and resolder the end connector with a Deans connector as my AEG is a G&P and therefore is using a Deans connector, what I want to know before I screw up my batteries is... Should I be connecting the positive wire from the battery charger to the negative wire of the battery and then obviously the negative wire from the charger to the positive wire of the battery (so they are in series)... I assume so but just want to check before I potentially screw up some rather expensive batteries?? Thanks for help and advise in advance, Cheers, Bobby
Mike636 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm pretty sure reversing the polarity of the charger into the battery may be a good way to burn your house down, positive to positive negative to negative. I know its bad brills but I refer you to this forum post http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/72650/Can-a-battery-be-reverse-charged
ballen Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Right, ok thanks Mike... so just to confirm then I should DEFINITELY be connecting + to + and - to - Thanks for your help
