D.harry Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Afternoon guys, just managed to pick up a cheap second hand SR4A1 as a first skirmish gun, any of you had any experience with these or handy tips, I've read some reviews but they're nothing like real life experiences out in the field. Oh yeah, hi, first post haha
bigshep Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 SRC 1st generation are notorious for having issues with their gearboxes. However as you have got it second hand then these may either be present, or may have been sorted by a previous owner. To be honest you will not know if it is a lemon or not till you get to skirmish it. Not that helpful, but until you have a play then you will nto know if it is bugegred or not. Try it in your back garden, if possible. Give it a magazine on full auto and see how it handles that.
D.harry Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Ah that's handy to know, still waiting for the post man to arrive, as soon as it comes the battery will be charged an I'm gonna unleash hell upon my targets so I'm sure if there's any issues they'll be picked up straight away! What are they like as skirmish guns for a noob?
bigshep Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 It should be fine to skirmish with. It will not have "supa doopa ubber max" performance or range, but it should be a medium performing skirmishable gun. As with any gun its all about the hop. So if you get your hop set right then you will be getting the maxrange from the gun.
D.harry Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Cool thanks for help, ill have a good play when it arrives, I wasn't expecting miracles from it, just something as an affordable starting platform
