when i shoot my airsoft gun it makes a grinding sound and then locks straight away. I ve taken the gearbox apart many times and i cant find anything wrong with it. Its a version 3 ak gearbox. I ve tried adjusting the motor height but it still does the same thing. The battery is fully charged. The teeth on the gears and the piston are fine.
what is wrong?
thanks

I would suggest that your motor may be knackered. It happened to mine. Motor out, worked fine on the desk and gearbox moved quite happily. Put the two together, grind grind and sum total of bugger all. Motor's can short out, so that when they are under load, IE trying to move the gearbox, they just don't have the uumph any more. So I would try another motor. You can pick one up for about £20 or so.

Thanks for reply. Did your motor just stop working properly all of a sudden?

I was at a skirmish and as I was shooting it started to act like the battery was flat, ie reduced range, firing slowly, then nothing, all over about 50 shots. Then it would just not cycle the gearbox. So I thought battery, changed that, then thought gearbox, checked that(lots), then thought motor, checked on bench and it was fine. Got a bit miffed then swapped out the motor with a spare one and she sprang back to life.
