Supporters Ian_Gere Posted March 22, 2013 Supporters Share Posted March 22, 2013 So, for the 1st time, I've put a 7 mini cell 8.4V 16mAh VP battery on a discharge->charge cycle on my Turnigy Accucell 6 intelligent charger (with PC monitor cable and 'ware). I know that, when hiring, a VP battery as opposed to a stock one is the difference between a crisp trigger response with fast ROF and more sluggish performance. I've got 2 stock CYMA AK batteries, 8.4V 1100mAh. 1 behaves sluggishly, the other isn't quite so bad, but it runs out much faster than I'd expect from 1100mAh... Well, when I plugged this VP battery in to discharge it, the voltage was 9.13V and it hasn't been charged for a couple of weeks. When the charger reported it dry, the last voltage measure was 9V. Currently it's 16mins into charging and the voltage is 9.19V. There we have it then... they go with the bakers' dozen approach!
