Why has no BB manufacturer done this?

Geoff’s is the way to go. Never had a single issue in over 20 gun’s over tens of thousands of BB’s

Jason let me test some when I was playing with him at Dragons Lair. Thought they were great then, so I purchased 2 bottles from him.

I don’t snipe often so the bottles were open in my room for about 6 months... went round to using them, couldn’t get the SSG to feed at all, tried with a few mates in different guns no luck there either. 

Team mate then found out the place he gets them made(you’ll know it no doubt) and he searched the manufacturers name and found that there was history with swelling. He tested the size of the BBs with a (not going to pretend I can spell or get the name right at this moment) and found the BBs had changed from 5.95+\-0.0.1 to roughly 6.05 on average...

I will admit I didn’t tell Jason, at the time I wasn’t thinking about letting him know, just moved on to a different brand. In hindsight I probably should have spoken with him.

That’s fair enough, I used to keep all my ammo in with desiccant bags but that’s when all the brands on the market were swelling.

The dimple is what I found on the ones I had! Didnt feed properly. Supplier was BB king wasn’t it?

Agree that samples would be great. I use a lot of heavyweight bb's and those things aren't cheap from premium brands. Even being able to buy a pack of 50 just to test consistency against your favourite brand(s) would be useful. I hate it when Geoff's run low everywhere as I don't know/won't risk buying larger amounts of an untested product.

Slightly off-topic, but if anyone is considering sample packs to find the best bb weight for their guns, there's no need. I made this calculator to tell you that. All you need to know is your cylinder inner diameter and piston stroke length.

For example, my cylinder is 23.8mm and piston stroke of 46mm. My barrel is 310mm 6.03. That's 2.31:1 and so a 0.32g bb is optimal.
